GF3 damper?

The quick installation pamphlet made no mention of loosening the clutch dampers for my GF3. Was the note below on the website for the GF2?
Online: "NOTE: The clutch dampers are tightened at the factory to prevent them from loosening during shipping; before you connect your Gunfighter to your PC, you will need to loosen the dampers for both pitch and roll axes to achieve correct return-to-center axes movements after calibration (refer to the Gunfighter Quick Guide for details)."
