1 - Gunfighter Modern Combat Pro
2 - 1.981
3 - 1 spring on each axis, no extension
4 - Don't remember, the ones that are smooth around the center position
5 - VKB device config 0.90.93 NJoy firmware v1.97.0
Problem description:
Moving the X and Y axes also causes spikes in the mini stick (see Joytester screen shot, blue axis Slider1 was never physically moved.
This prevents me from using the ministick at all, even as buttons, which is annoying.
Worse, the X and Y axes regularly stop responding after a few minutes of play in Elite Dangerous, DCS or IL-2 Great Battles, which makes the joystick entirely unreliable and unusable, sadly.
The mini stick in the second screen capture is stuck (RotZ and Slider1) at maximum position. When the X and Y axes stop responding, it is not always at extreme positions.
The axes start responding again if I unplug and replug the black box, of if I restart the stick using VKBDevCfg.exe

Re: Axes get stuck
That ministick is spiking because is not calibrated. When you're calibrating make sure you're including all the axes.
For correct calibration go to Axes tab in Test, hit the Start Calibr button, move ALL the axes through their whole range: secondary trigger, brake lever, X and Y, Master Mode ministick, Gate cont ministick. Watch the indicators on the screen going from one side to another for each axis (excluding the secondary trigger). Hit End calibr. when done.
