Morning,

I just replaced Analog Hat that comes from default on my Kosmosima Pro mounted on Gunfighter MK.III for switch that comes labeled as SCG-R-P A1 HAT-switch.

After replacing it, i reconnected everything, opened VKB Device Config and pushed on "Default" to reconfig / recalibrate device.

I dont know if im missing something but i got button 18 and button 19 marked as pressed, and have no response if i move hat on any of 4 ways.
I re-checked physically that buttons are not being push and hat is centered.

If i push hat i get response on button 20 pressed with numbers on Log Joystick, but no response on moving hat in any of 4 directions.

Im missing any previous sw config to use hat?.

Open zconfig.ini file (it's in the same folder with VKBDevCfg) and add this line:
Test Misc Enabled=1
under [Common] and this line:
User=Developer
under [User].

Hit the Default button to reset to default and do a calibration afterwards.

Ok, after doing that, some changes, but still not working ok:

Did exactly what you say and after first calibration i got same result (Button 18, 19 constantly in pressed state green), but got responses on directional pushing: All directions eventually detected pressed, and sometimes 18, 19 changed state to off while pushing hat top, right.

So i pushed Default and recalibrated again, about 4-5 times with different results, all with responses on some direction but Button #18, #19 keep going green even without feeling "click" on their sensor.
What i found is: left (19) and down (18) sensors are detecting press just for soft contact of the tansparent mid piece. No pressure or "click" at all to make them come on pressed state.

Seems faulty sensor/piece?

Can send more screenshots or any log if helps.

As you can see with barely any movement both sensors change state to pressed.

After watching the video I would say that the hat is not properly installed and there's loose contact in there.

I took your advice and opened again to check if everything was ok. I Didnt found a problem on installation. I saw Drake's video, but i found youtube tutorial i followed was more detailed (https://youtu.be/vt-IZwGMoSk ). Kudos Aynaneth!! ;D

So i took some photos without Hat so problem can be better seen.

As you can see, stick is perfectly centered and even not touching, or barely touching, any yellow sensor, but i still get 18 and 19 on pressed status almost every time. While all 4 sensor works if i push onto them till pushout (click sense), these 2 seems too much sensitive and dont need to be pushed in to become pressed".

I will wait then for that feedback from Ron and Victorus.

When installing the button block instead of the microstick, there should be a gap between the buttons and the transparent stem. It is clearly visible when moving it. Bottom and left in the photo - this is the 18 and 19 button. Move the rod up - you should see a gap with the bottom button. Check it out please. Take a photo of the buttons without rod.
Purely my opinion is that the microstick is much more convenient than a button HAT. Moreover, the hut cannot have intermediate values ​​- 45, 135, 225, 315 degrees. Since it cannot constructively press 2 buttons at the same time. And from the axes of the microstick we can make buttons, but from the buttons of the axis, no.
The question is - why didn’t the microstick work?
For the buttons to work like a HAT, you need to configure according to the pictures.

So, u are right and i was taking a bad approach. Was installing button hat because i couldnt setup microstick properly. Now with your guide i did, and got better results than expected.

Got button hat dismounted. Still didnt saw a problem (physical) , ill check with polymeter when at work, just for clarification and curiosity.

Hi there, to conclude with my Hat problem, tested it outside with polimetre and its working perfectly, so as fallout9 appointed, seems it wasnt properly installed.

Another question to finish the software configuration:

Im trying to assign one of hat directions of the config Ron61 linked to help me before to a Keyboard combination (2 keyboard pressed at a time). Is this possible?

Go to the Common tab, set your keyboard active.
Go to Profile/ Buttons/ Physical buttons and press on the button you want to assign to keyboard.
Link that button to keyboard (1), set the keyboard key (2) and the modifier (3).
Hit Set in action tab to save the changes.
