Re: Can't configure Gunfighter with Kosmosima grip
Try to start the bootloader with the KG12 stick in instead of Kosmosima.

Since this seems so important.

No need for that, was just trying to track back your steps to see how that thing stopped working.
So have you tried the bootloader to see if it fires up when the KG12 is on?

Re: Can't configure Gunfighter with Kosmosima grip
I honestly have no idea where the KG12 grip is. I moved between the time I bought these to now. I've got everything else setup for my sim rig now so I'm trying to use it. Do I absolutely need to have the original grip just to use another grip? Or is this just something you want to try?

Re: Can't configure Gunfighter with Kosmosima grip
One last thing to try: take the Kosmosima grip off and put it back. When you fit it in make sure it goes all the way in so there's no gap between the bottom of the grip and metal shaft of the base. There is a pin on the shaft of the base - that has to get all the way inside the grip. If the grip is not in then the device can't be flashed. Please try this and report back.
Re: Can't configure Gunfighter with Kosmosima grip
I've already tried removing and putting the shaft back on. I just tried it again and even removed the rubber cover so that I can make absolute sure that it's as far down as it can go, and it's still not flashing. The lights on the stick light up momentarily when it first makes contact with the pins, but beyond that, it's basically not recognized.

Re: Can't configure Gunfighter with Kosmosima grip
So the 2 LEDs in the head of the stick are shortly coming on and there's also a red LED flashing on the Black Box? That's poor contact- could you push down the dust cover and take a picture with the contact area between the grip and the base?
Re: Can't configure Gunfighter with Kosmosima grip
Yes, there is a red flashing LED on the blackbox. I assumed that was normal, I guess not?
This is as far down as it goes when the locking nuts are in. I've also tried without the locking nuts by simply holding it down, but that makes no difference.

Re: Can't configure Gunfighter with Kosmosima grip
Clean the 3 contact pads on the base with some cotton with just a bit of alcohol on it. Take a pen a slowly push down the 3 contact pins on the grip to see if the springs are working.
Re: Can't configure Gunfighter with Kosmosima grip
I've already tried all of this before making this thread. I've tried it all again and the contact surfaces are clean and the springs on the pins are still working. I can also feel the tension of the springs as the grip is put on, so I'm pretty sure there's contact. I don't see how it could have better contact than it already does without completely changing the connection.

In this case leave this thread open for VKB engineers to see and if there's no feedback in the next few days I would suggest to get in touch with the dealer and link them to this conversation.
