Gladiator with MCG PRO
I have a gladiator base and I installed a MCG PRO on top of it using the gladiator lite kit. Once I was done I plugged it in and the red light flashes on the gladiator base non stop. I went through the process of using the VKB config and firmware 1.94 from VKB. The x and y axis and slider are recognized in vkb config but the buttons on the stick don't work at all. I ran calibration on the stick and when I dot that the green light flashes on the vkb base and when I end calibration the green light goes out and the red light starts flashing rapidly again. Can someone please help me out with this also in the VKB config when under tools test and external devices it shows the MCG pro with a red x next to it and the bar is red from top to bottom. can someone please help. thanks

Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
Clean the connectors on both the adapter and stick, make sure the grip is seated properly on the base. Check again the connections inside the Gladiator.
Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
Thanks for the reply I cleaned the connections with a q-tip using alcohol and the light still blinks. The connection inside is seated but maybe I have a wire in the wrong pin could you tell me what color wire goes in which pin slot on the connector. Thanks

Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
I also tested an MCG Pro and was working perfectly (except of 2 axes on the ministick which couldn't fit the Windows axes number limitation). Check the video: https://youtu.be/x_LXh5LTJL4. I think one of the pins on your new cable doesn't make contact properly.
Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
Saw that video I was referencing it early I took all the wire out of the connector and put them on each individual post and still got the blinking red light.

Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
So I've tried to replicate your problem and here's what I get if I disconnect the red wire from the new cable installed as grip connection: only X,Y and Z axes running (no ministick), all buttons on the base fine, but no buttons working on the grip, Mode LED flashing red. Shows the same error in Test/ External.
Check the red wire.
Check the red wire.
Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
So ive checked that red wire where it connects inside the base and its seated in the plug. the only thing I cant check is inside the post where the grip connects to. So is the gladiator lite kit bad you think.
Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
I have the same thing you state all buttons on the base work and the axis all work but nothing on the grip works no buttons and no ministicks.

Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
So I checked the wire with a multimeter and your right the red wire is not working inside the gladiator like kit.

Re: Gladiator with MCG PRO
If you are sure the cable is broken it's an easy fix if you're handy. Check this picture:
There are 2 zip ties fixing the 3 wires in place, one underneath and one on top of the sleeve (2 in the picture). Cut the one on top (1 in picture) so you would free the cable and push out the contact pads board from the top of the shaft by pushing up the 2 side tabs (3 in the picture). Solder the wire, push the board back inside the shaft, leave some extra cable inside the shaft, put a new zip tie on top of sleeve.
!!!Important - make sure you put back the contact board (3) exactly like it was; mark the tab and the shaft with some sharpie. If you rotate it then it won't make contact properly with the grip's pins.!!!
