1 - Gunfighter Mk II, SCG-L Premium
2 - Firmware v1.977
3 - #30 Springs (one per axis)
4 - #3 Cams
5 - VKBDevCfg-C v0.90.56 - z-Bootloader v1.15
The issue:
I have "lost" the X and Y axis on my left SCG, or rather the gunfighter. The twist and mini-stick however work. The stick-LED on the Blackbox is blinking red. It was working just fine a few days before.
With some community help I've managed to pinpoint the issue to the Gunfighter base. I did so by switching Sticks, bases, cables and Blackboxes around. That means:
- left Stick on right GF with right Blackbox: everything works
- left Stick on left GF with right Blackbox: issue exists
- left Stick on right GF with left Blackbox: everything works
- right Stick on right GF with left Blackbox: everything works
- right Stick on left GF with left Blackbox: issue exists
- right Stick on left GF with right Blackbox: issue exists
as you can see, as soon as the left Gunfighter base comes into play, the issue somehow manifests.
I've tried to clean the contacts where the Stick sits on the Gunfigher, I've checked (visually and by dis- and reconnecting) the cables inside the Gunfighter. But as far as I can see, they look fine (compared to the working right GF). I'm not an engineer though, and I did not want to pull on them to see if they are loose in fear of breaking something.
I've attached various screenshots, if I can and should provide anything else, please tell me. Thanks

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
Go to the Test-External Devices tab and show a screenshot of it.
Reset the controller to factory default settings with the Default button and calibrate all axes. Shows a screenshot of the Profile-Axes tab.
Explain - do you have two GF bases or one? Something I did not understand this.

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
Correct, I have 2 GF Bases (and Blackboxes) with a SCG and a SCG-L.
Screenshot of Test-External is now added (the initial post only got 3 of the 4 screenshots somehow), I don't have access to the device right now since I'm at work.
The other Screenshots are made after Default Button and Calibration.
The joytester only shows graph for twist (in the middle) and mini-Stick (on the right). I was moving X and Y in the beginning, but nothing on the graph.

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
The red graph indicates that there is no connection with the base. We unscrew the bottom plate and check the reliability of the contact of all 4 pin connectors of the X and Y axes.
You may need to remove the upper part to get to the connector.

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
I've done the following now:
Taken/switched the "cable X" from the other GF Base and tried it at the one not working. That did not help.
Is that helpful? I do not know how else I could check the reliability of the contact of the 4 pin connectors.
I've attached some picture of the gimbal and boards/cables. And some new screenshots. The Global - external Devices Tab now somehow shows 2 Sticks and GF Bases after reconnecting, restoring default and calibrating. Only one Stick/GF/Blackbox is connected at this moment.

More Pictures and Screenshots (I can only add 3 per post it seems)
Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
Also the external devices tab, I can add the other ones if needed

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
t seems that somewhere somewhere messed up specifically. I propose to do so.
Disconnect the left Black Box (BB) in the complex - L GF + SCG_L from USB. We will work and configure only the right GF + SCG.
Download the configurator 0.90_77 from here. Install the configurator in a new folder.
We will remove our device from the system with the USBDeview utility - everything is simple there. After that, you need to reconnect BB to USB.
Re-flash BB firmware for the right handle - _BlackBox_GF_SCG_v1_97_7.vkb. After that we calibrate.
When connected to the board, the GF should light up Led.
We show a screenshot of the Test-External Devices tab.
The picture should be like that.
If everything turned out that way, then I think there will be no problems setting up the left BB.

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
Okay, I did these steps, I hope I understood everything correct (language barrier):
this was all done with only the right parts, was that correct? Should I have switched or used the left parts in any of these steps?
The External Devices Tab for the right SCG only shows one GF and SCG though:
If I try to set up the left BB, it still has the same issue with axes X and Y.
- Disconnected left BB, GF-L & SCG-L
- Configurator 0.90_77 in new folder with _BlackBox_GF_SCG_v1_97_7.vkb
- removed the Device from the list with USBDeview
- reconnected right BB with right GF and SCG
- re-flashed firmware and calibrated the right GF/SCG - the LED does light up on the board

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
Fine. As I understand it, now everything works correctly on the right side. That is, the whole set is BB (right) + GF (right) + SCG.
Now it would be possible to go along this path with the setup of the left kit. Connect only one BB_L + GF_L + SCG_L. And flash it _BlackBox_GF_SCG_L_v1_97_7.vkb with subsequent calibration.
But there seems to be a problem. And in order to find out more precisely its localization, we will do so.
Leave only the right BB + SCG connected, but change the base to the left. And without flashing anything else. That is, it will look like this - BB + GF_L + SCG. As a result, nothing should change and everything should work.
This will find out if there is a problem in the left base.
Do this and the result will move on.
p.s. complete the first paragraph of this post.

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
First I did the same steps as before with the right part, only now with the left parts -> yes, there is a problem, the X and Y axes do not
See this screenshot of left parts:
I've changed the Base, so now I have
right BB with left GF and right SCG
I did not flash anything, just connected the parts. External Devices look as this:
Now the right side does not register X and Y axes (twist works):

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
So the problem is in the left base. Led on the board burned or not?
If not, you can try to transfer 2 cables from the working base. Starting from the weekend and only then, which goes to Mars.
I highly recommend marking the cable from the working base, so as not to mix it up later.

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
The LED on the board is on, red color.
I already transfered one of the cables, see: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3863&p=37429#p37403
As I said there I took the cable you marked as "cable X" from the right GF und put it in the left GF.
The cable did also not work in the left GF.
But the cable from the left GF did work in the right GF.
This sentence: "Starting from the weekend and only then, which goes to Mars." I do not understand, please elaborate.
As far as I can see the only other cable I could transfer is the one connecting the outer housing of the base to the "board axes Y".
Should I do so?

Re: "Lost" X- and Y-axis on GF Mk II
Okay. I transferred all of the cables.
Cables from the left base work fine with the right base.
Cables from the right base inside the left do have the same problem.
Seems to me it's either the sockets of those cables or the boards?
Is there anything more I can do?
