6. Both black boxes are connected to the PC and their related stick.




Hello,

I have bought thos Sticks a few months ago, and hadnt have to time to install them so far.. until yesterday

1st i did connect the left Stick = flashing Red Stick LED on the Black Box
2nd i did connect the right Stick = Green Stick LED on the Black Box
- Downloaded latest VKBDevCfg
Testet both Sticks, right=ok / left=no response (also no response under Windows Gamecontroler for the left one)
flashed both Sticks with the latest Firmwares
no change (right=ok / left=not)
(did hit default after Flashing the Firmware)

Switched the left Black Box to the right stick = Works
Switched the left grip to the right Base = Works
Switched the right Black Box to the left Base = Fail
Switched the Right grip to the left Base = Fail

Changed the zconfig to User=Developer = no change

The left base has a physical connection the Stick (you can see the "scratches" on the connector plate)
The Cables on the left Base look ok (didnt use a Multimeter to confirm if they are realy ok)
Also the LEDs on the Grip are lit up if you connect the Stick via USB for a second.

At this moment i dont know if theres anything left i can do...
Could use some help/advice.... but i think the left base is broken

Try to set the grip to SCG instead of SCG L and the base to GF Base instead of GF Base L.

Sadly didnt help...
Did also try to Flash _BlackBox_GF_SCG_L_v1_97_7 & _BlackBox_GF_SCG_v1_97_7 (also hit Default after every Flash)
No change... still red Stick LED flashing

Try to flash both right and left hand on the working assembly. Does it work?

Another thing to try - if you have the right side hand grip+base+blackbox+cables working, switch the bases into that assembly. Be aware that you'll have to flash, reset to default and calibrate again every time when you're making changes to your working device.

And get rid of the #3 and #4 devices (set them to None).

Used the working Black Box on the right with the left Base+Grip... used left+right Firmware... still flashing red Stick LED

Left Black Box is flashing red in every # combination with right and left SCG

the virtual thingy on the left is because of AUTOF... dosnt also change anything

I know you said you've tried this, but exactly the same thing happened to me and this is how I fixed it following VKB's instructions, would you mind trying one more time?

1. make sure the grip is properly seated in the base;
2. flash your not working left hand device with the left hand firmware.
3. reset to default.
4. go to External devices and switch the grip from SCG-L to SCG and the base from GF Base L to GF Base.
5. Hit Set.
6. Try to Calibrate.

Did all the steps again... no change...
Stick LED on the Black Box keeps flashing red at alle steps

Doh... just got my new Samsung C49RG9 i wanna test it on Star Citizen now....

Hope I'm not meddling and suggesting something you've already done but I didn't see it in the list. Have you tried swapping solely the cables between the Gunfighter base and black boxes from one hand to the other, to rule them out?

Another thing you could try is to delete the whole vkb folder and start from scratch with flashing the previous stable version v1.96.F in combination with VKBDevCfg v0.90.56.

I suggest this option:
1. while we disconnect the second BB with SCG_R
2. connect SCG_L to BB and flash it with firmware 1.977 for the left handle. Reset to default and calibrate.
3. show screenshot the External and External-Leds tab and the Leds response.
4. screenshot of the Test-External Devices tab.
We will continue only after these operations.

like i said
for me it looks like theres something wrong with the connection from the point where you connect the stick to the whole base...
but the stick is all the way down... you can see the "scratches" on the connection plate

Please follow my requests exactly. If it is said to flash 1.977, then we do it.
Before installing the handle, wipe the contact area with alcohol. Install without gap with the stock, denser.
Sorry, forgot to add - use the 90.59 configurator.

Red bars indicate a lack of connection between the handle and the base. That's why Led blinks.
