Can Virtual Axes Scales be changed with VKB Software?

What I'm wanting know is can the virtual axes scaling be changed, I'm asking for a friend with a Gunfighter
This is to increase sensitivity for close manoeuvering, so the physical axes (or throw on the stick) is at 100% but the virtual axes as seen by the computer is less, 50 or 25% for example
If this is possible can it be done on the fly via a button or switch?
If so if anybody would be so kind could they give me an idea as to how it's done

You could affect the axes response by modifying the curves.
1. Go to Profile -> Axes -> Response curve. Adjust the curve as desired. Response curve at row 1. is for X axis, row 2. is for Y axis. You could copy the first curve by holding Shift and clicking in the second row.
2. Go to Profile -> Buttons -> Physical layer. Mark the Poll option (1). Press the joystick button you want to assign for changing curves. Red light will flick on the buttons layout. Click that button. In the new window set that button as Curves (2), mark the Alternate option box (3), mark the X and Y axes (4).
3. Click Set.

There is a dedicated feature for that. Called "DR". See page 19 (2.4.6. Axis sensitivity reduce) and 65-66 (4.3.12. Axes fixation) of the
manual.
Unlike the method proposed by fallout9, DR have an acceleration rate that we can choose with the "TimeDR" combo box (Only software providing this feature to my knowledge, clap clap VKB). This give us some time to reposition our controller in order to avoid brutal virtual axes modification. Which is dangerous especially when releasing DR.

The DR option is shortening the range though by 1/2, 1/3 or 1/4. He said he wants to keep the whole range.

It reduce (limit) the virtual range indeed, not the physical range. Difference between Y saturation and X saturation.

If I understand correctly, he want to reduce the scale of the axis. He want to change the "Y saturation". Like here :

Yes you interpreted my question correctly to keep the physical axes at 100% and reduce the virtual axes to some given preset (like 50 or 25%)

So to close this out the DR function worked an absolute treat and I got my Buddy up and running
As an aside I also them used on my Mamba, I run an old version of the software right now, due to firmware issues, anyway it was in there too so not only did you help my buddy you helped me too
Thank you to all and I'm now looking for applications where I can use all these other awesome axes functions I never knew about
The software is absolutely awesome if a little intimidating at first, but stay with it, it's well worth the effort

Hi hon0,
I'm new to VKB and
terrible at understanding & configuring all software. Once I see an example my understanding improves. If you could please send some screen shots that would be great. I can see the DR function in the global tab. But I can't understand how to configure a button to switch between normal and reduced axis response. I was hoping to configure it to the MCG Pro's folding trigger (button #28) so that I could flick it up when I want reduced response on X & Y. This would be during landing, formation flying, and refuelling. Currently I have this set to Master Arm disable in DCS so I thought they would go well together. But if the trigger can't be used, any button would be useful.

In addition to Victorus screenshot, in the Global\common panel you have two settings that need to be set. D.Rate and TimeDR.
D.Rate will set by how much the response will be limited. 1/2 will limit the response to half. TimeDR will set how fast the virtual axis value will catch the physical axis position when you activate the DR function. And also when you deactivate it.
This is to prevent instantaneous axes jump when for exemple you go from DR 1/4 back to normal 1/1. In a machine such as the Huey your rotorblade could say bye bye.

Edit :
The Trim.Mode and Trim.Time might also work with DR, I'm not sure and can't test atm. Those two setting were designed to enhance the FA0 function. So that when we reset trim the virtual value doesn't jump instantly to current stick value. Instead we can set a rate, and even an acceleration rate for the rate (Jerk).
