Hi,
Just wondering what you guys are using right now?
I had that RED LED issue a while back and managed to get rid of it by using this configuration of .cfg tool and firmware
https://i.imgur.com/VgO93lx.png
Now ... I've noticed an issue lately which made me want to try new firmware and tool see maybe if that fixes things.
Basically problem I've noticed lately is that when I don't use my stick day/two or more than I go to use it and check with the .cfg tool axis test I can see that when I move my joystick left/right (Joy_X) axis that it's spiking really bad all over the place and rebooting the device fixes it mostly and then it functions properly until I leave it for a few days again.
I've tried leaving it plugged it and turning it off in that period and seems to cause the same thing to occur.
So lads, what's your latest .cfg tool/firmware version you're using and have no issues with?
For the record, I use firmware versions provided from this site: http://alex-oz.strana.de/
MCG Gunfighter Mk.II Pro latest stable firmware?

Re: MCG Gunfighter Mk.II Pro latest stable firmware?
I'm using the latest betas from Alex and never had any issue. I've read about people having the LEDs blinking on their BBs problem so I've tried several times and with several combinations of firmware/ software to reproduce the issue on both my devices GF+MCGP and GF+SCGL- never happened to me.
I think that the blinking red LED issue is coming from either whatever software is running under your Windows sessions or from the stick being loose on the base or improperly seated.

Not a very good advice, this one.
Like, telling a group of driving school students something like "I never drive slower than 130 in the rain, and 150 in good weather" (km/h).
Might hurt more than heal.
I will never get tired of reiterating:
ALEX OZ's FIRMWARE IS ONLY FOR VERY ADVANCED USERS AND IS NOT SUPPORTED BY US IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER.
In simple words, if you use Alex's FW and get blue smoke coming out of your device - sorry, there is no one to blame, and it is not a warranty issue.
If your LEDs stat sending you messages in Swahili version of Morse code - you were warned
Anyone who is a tiniest bit less confident in his ability to revert his system to its previous state without asking for help - please ONLY, let me say it again and again, ONLY, ONLY use the FW from VKB official ftp server.
The fact that Alex Oz is part of VKB does NOT in any way officialize his FWs. They are all experimental, and you are on your own if Cthulhu bites you.
Best Regards,

It's under the "black box" link. There are no differences between the Mk1 and Mk2 gunfighters electronically. The only change made was to the physical connectors between the base and grip. So it's important when ordering a new grip you match it for the right Mk base. The firmware comes as a zip file with the files for all the stick combos. Just unzip to find yours.
The "official" version of VKBDevconfig is there on the software page. Pick the most recent one. If you don't want to get into any advanced programming, use Wizzo. That's a "Lite" version that will let you calibrate and set dead bands but not program the buttons.

I guess my statement was more reassuring than intended, maybe influenced by the fact that he was already using the hot betas.

No, it's OK, I've fiddled around with the .cfg tool before it has some cool features, Just wanted to know if any users noticed any issues or what are they using that they feel is stable as of recently.
This Jox_X axis spiking after not using the stick has me little pondering as to why it would happen so I'm exploring some angles.

Re: MCG Gunfighter Mk.II Pro latest stable firmware?
Sorry man, it's my fault too that I kept the betas in the initial conversation.
So, unless an official rep states otherwise, this is what I'd do:
- get the cfg software: https://vkbcontrollers.com/wp-content/u ... .90.19.zip
- get the bootloader: https://vkbcontrollers.com/wp-content/u ... -v1_15.zip
- get the firmware package: https://vkbcontrollers.com/wp-content/u ... 1_96_D.zip. unzip the file and get the file named _BlackBox_GF_MCG_PRO_v1_96_D.vkb.
- get all the 3 files from above, put them in the same directory and run the VKBDevCfg
- press Bootloader button and load the _BlackBox_GF_MCG_PRO_v1_96_D.vkb file
- press Default
- calibrate
that's it.
