I just got my second Gunfighter with SCG Premium Left grip and had the problem that it was only showing as a status red in VKBDevCfg, even though it had the newest firmware (v1_96_7) from the VKB EU site https://flightsimcontrols.com/customer-support/ which links to http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Firmware/ and http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Programms/. Are these up-to-date firmwares?
On the VKB US site https://flightsimcontrols.com/customer-support/ is a link to http://alex-oz.strana.de/ which had a new firmware (v1_96_D) which did work for me for my SCG Premium Left grip. Updating my MCG Pro(from v1_93_6) with this new firmware (v1_96_D), however, crashes VKBDevCfg (v0.90.19). The only think working for me, was using an older VKBDevCfg (v0.89.7.6). This allowed me to run VKBDevCfg again and edit my settings etc.
Long story short: What firmware is recommended to use? What site does hold the latest official stable firmware? For SCG-L and MCG Pro?

Latest official FW is on our ftp site.
Alex Oz is our engineer but FW from his site is _only_ for very well seasoned VKB product users and testers who either act on our behalf as our chosen and approved testers, or do so in clear understanding that if whatever happens, there will be no one to help or to blame....
General public somehow got to know about his server and decided that the coolest FW is nowhere but there, while we just don't want to share it with the masses
However the fact is, our ftp is the only place where the FW is officially kosher.
We accept no responsibility whatsoever for whatever consequences of using FW that is taken from anywhere but our ftp.

No need, once you installed a FW from Alex, and it works for you - then you're lucky; just talk to Alex if you need tweaks. His Eng is not his strongest point, so make your texts simple and sentences short.aklambda wrote: I will revert to the official firmware then
