New VKB user here. I'm attempting to map a button to a keyboard key 'A' and not seeing any signs it's working. I'd expect to be able to open up notepad and see it printing characters.

Did you hit the Set button after you made the changes to save them to the device?

Yes of course. Should I be able to type letters into notepad if this is working?

Try adding a line to the zconfig.ini file as described here. And of course, the assigned letters will be visible in a text editor.

What physical control corresponds to line#3? Do you see button response if no keyboard mapping assigned? Please check Poll on physical layer tab, press any button and try to map key to flashed line.

The bottom rear button corrosponds to line#3. If I set the key mapping to "No function" it still responds while polling.

I did this. What exactly should I do with this developer view now?

Kind of black magic. I found your versions of fw and vkbdevcfg. It works. One exception - not SCG&GF (have no(() but mamba controller or MCG&gf. All VKB controllers are the same.
Try keyboard mapping to any other button.

Things seem to be working today. Not sure why. Thanks for the help. I tested that the mapping steps work with a default stick regardless of developer mode as well.
