KG 12 WWII Combat Grip

Postby stellar1 » Thu Mar 14, 2019 0:49

Dear friends,
I have built a 5 axis hardware helicopter sim, using a Leo Bodnar interface to PC ( Prepar 3D ver 4.4 and DCS ver 2.5.4
Looking for switches to be added to the joystick. Wander if the KB 12 WWII Combat Grip would be a good choice for me.
Do I get access to the switches easily ( wires ?)
Best regards
John Reimertz

( Are using a VKB Gladiator II for flying regular airplanes.)

No, VKB grips are "own entity" with integrated ARM32 processor, not compatible with other brands of controllers (e.g. BU0836).

For your project I suggest look at eBay for an used CH F-16 CombatStick or FighterStick (can be even old gameport versions), this grips are very easy to wire in other controllers, due use of a 4x12 matrix.

For me CH CombatStick grip is ideal for helicopters due an press button in middle grip left side, perfect for trim.
