Thank you for the reply,
Do you perhaps have a picture of where the BOOT pins might be? I see BOOT on the circuit board but no pins, there are holes where pins should be.

Just connect those 2 ‘holes’ together. Those are the so called pins. On Alex’s page, bootloader section, is showing how to short them with some teeezers.

I thought so but I really wanted to be 100% certain wrecking the board
Thanks for the info!

Re: Bootloader - Device not Ready & can't fix
I tried pausing Virus software and closed anything that might prevent the flashing of the Joystick. I have tried using the prev version of the software and still nothing. Really frustrating
Re: Bootloader - Device not Ready & can't fix
Well,
I reset the computer, tried again and same issue. I booted the freshly installed PC in a clean boot mode and still same issue. So it is definitly not any third party software that has interfered with the flashing.
This is a VKB software issue or the joystick that was sold to me has issues.

Are you sure your stick seated well enough on the base? My Gunfighter base was with a bit bigger guide pin and because of that, SSG wasn't fitting on my base at all. Check that you don't have any gaps between the base and the stick.
Re: Bootloader - Device not Ready & can't fix
Ok try this:
On the left corner in windows type "run" and open the Run App
Then type "msconfig" and click Ok
Click services tab and click "Disable All"
Click Apply then OK.
It should ask you to restart, say yes.
When the computer comes on Try to flash your stick. Hopefully this works.
When all done go back to msconfig and Enable All the services you turned off.

Re: Bootloader - Device not Ready & can't fix
hmm, i am having same issue after installing upgrade kit lite on my Gladiator Mk II and adding the SCG Premium stick. everything on base works, but no buttons, etc. on stick, led's do light up when plugged in, red led flashing on base.
what was a stuck pin? could be a lot of things.
thx.
EDIT: NM, I was able to load the firmware with rrohde's instructions and then had a little operator error with the VKBdevcfg software (never used it before). all good now. but I (maybe others after me) would like to know what was meant by a stuck pin?
