Gladiator Mk II Flashing red light after any change in VKBDevCfg
1 - Gladiator Mk. II (non pro) with stock KG12 grip
2 - Firmware - Initially Gladiator v01.85 B, but then also tested Gladiator_v1_96_0, Gladiator_v1_96_7, and Gladiator_v1_96_8
3 - stock springs
4 - stock cams
5 - Using VKBDevCfg v0.89.76
If the question is in regards to joystick/pedals axes, please additionally post:
6 - Vkbjoytester indicates normal functioning, but I can add screenshots later if needed. I'm not sure what to show really, so some instruction of what would be useful if needed would be good.
7 - Vkbdevcfg-c is on Default settings to start, but any change in profile when "set" to the stick causes the behavior. I can include screenshots later if needed.
What caused the issue:
I just got a Kosmosima Pro left hand grip (love it! great work VKB!) to pair with my Gunfighter Mk II, and it works great. I updated my VKBDevCfg software to the latest version - v0.89.76 - to work with the Kosmosima grip.
The issue:
Now my right hand Gladiator MKII with the stock KG12 grip is not working right. When I try to set any settings to it like a deadzone adjustment or a response curve, it seems to write the data to the stick, reboots, then flashes the red mode light continually as if it had an error in the setting update process. Oddly, the device "seems" to function according to the new settings even while flashing the red light (I'm not 100% sure on this part), but that red light continues to flash even after unplugging the Gladiator and then re-plugging it back in.
The only way I have found to reset the flashing red light is to reset to default settings. Even restoring the setting that was changed has no effect on the flashing light error. Only a reset to default stops the flashing error light. I had firmware v1.85B on the Gladiator MkII w/ KG12 grip when I first set up the KosmosimaProL/Gunfighter MKII and updated VKBDevCfg to v0.89.76. Everything seemed to work fine until I decided to adjust my custom response curve that was already on the stick to refine the handling a bit. When I set the change to the stick, the odd behavior began. Since then I have updated the Gladiator firmware and tried _Gladiator_v1_96_0, _Gladiator_v1_96_7, and _Gladiator_v1_96_8. All have exactly the same behavior. Any Profile tab setting change causes the flashing red light. Only resetting to default clears the error.
Any help?f
Thanks!

Re: Gladiator Mk II Flashing red light after any change in VKBDevCfg
I have the same problem after updating my GF MKII/MCG Pro with firmware BlackBox_GF_MCG_PRO_v1_95_B.
Same problem with firmware _BlackBox_GF_MCG_PRO_v1_96_7
Tried both VKBDevCfg-C_v0_89_1_8 and VKBDevCfg-C_v0_89_7_6
All changes applies and everything is working. But the "stick led" on the black box is blinking red.
When I restore default settings it returns to green.
Regardless which setting I change, the led starts blinking red as soon as I click on "Set".

To make the Led tab in External appear, you need to add a line to the [User] User = Developer section in the zConfig.ini file. And then take a screenshot.

Now, if you follow the Global-External path, you can see the Led tab, where you can assign various events to the Led indication. You can read about this in paragraph 2.5.2 of the manual .

Wow. The steps above worked for me as well. Nice find mmed. Thanks!
1. Reset to Default.
2. Get
3. Changed deadzone, response curves, and Eq check boxes.
4. Set - red light now shows solid as it should!
5. Calibrate - still shows solid as it should.
All good!
Here's a screenshot of my working LEDs tab too.

Thanks Ron this helped me fix my flashing red LED problem as well. I only added the "User=Developer" what are those other 3 items you highlighted at the top of you picture. I do not have those in my file, what do they do? Do I need to add them?

I have the same problem but I can't get it working at all.
1. I click "Default" on Tools tab
2. I click "Get" on Action tab
3. LED is green - OK!
4. I don't do any settings / I do any setting / Load profile
5. I click "Set" on Action tab
It just starts blinking red.
All works, but it just blinks red.
