Question about the firmware

I have a GF2/MCG Pro and I'm flashing _BlackBox_GF_MCG_PRO_v1_96_7.vkb. On my Gladiator MKII I'm flashing _Gladiator_v1_96_7.vkb.
I noticed on the FTP and Alex's links there's also a file called _NJOY32_v1_96_7.vkb - where is this supposed to get flashed?

All VKB joysticks - King Kobra, Mamba and Gladiator families, standalone controllers BlackBox, ThrottleBox, Tiny Box etc. are based on Njoy32 but have some differences in construction. Also was standalone Njoy32 for DIY. Firmware name specifies controller type for which it is applicable.

I know that Njoy32 is the Mother-of-all, but I was thinking it's being used by something like ZLink for combining devices.
I'm interested in DIY and playing a bit with the software, could you direct me to some public places where these matters are being discussed? I'm interested even if it's in russian.
