Gunfighter dry clutch question.

Postby gavros777 » Sat Feb 23, 2019 23:19

I used to think to loosen up the clutch i had to unscrew those two nuts next to a spring from underneath.
Saw a youtube video yesterday showing a silver hex screw on top as the dry clutch that we need to loosen up as it was screwed tight for shipping reasons.
Do i still need to loosen up that hex screw on top or i'm good since i have loosen up the ones from below?

The dry clutch adjustment screws that are on the bottom are on the Rev A gunfighter. The ones accessible from the top are on Rev B. They improved accessibility where you only had to take off the dust cover vs the bottom plate. I made my own way around this problem when I made a custom bottom plate for my RevA. I included holes where the adjustment screws are so I just lift the stick out of my mount to tweak as needed.

Thank you so much!
You just saved me from the frustration of taking the base apart and wonder where are the top hex screws lol.

If you got a little time, it's honestly not a bad idea to slide the whole gimbal up out of the base assembly and take a look at how the dry clutches work, at least once. Remember to unplug the harness that goes to the cable port before lifting everything out the top!
