T-Rudder Problem

Hi support,

I've bought your VKB-SIM T-Rudder Pedals MK IV in late 2017. I used it for spacesim Star Citizen. Everything worked perfect until I stopped playing for about 6 months and started again last week.

1. The BlackBox can't recognize the rudder anymore.
2. The BlackBox blinks red on pedals and is blue on sys.
3. I've added lines "Test All DI Joysticks=1" "Expert Mode=1" "User=Developer" to zconfig
4. I've tried original software in admin mode and uploaded newest Devcfg + Firmware. didn't work.
5. I've tried other versions and as far as I remember, I did not use newer configurator software for old firmware.
6. Changed cables.

Thx in advance.

It is advisable to flash the extreme stable version and then make a test connection of the controller with the pedal sensor. This can be done with a few mouse clicks.
If the green lights, you need to calibrate. Everything.
If this is not the case, you need to check with a different, proven cable.

Thx for quick reply.

Flashed the extreme stable version. Pedal is green, sys blue. Can't do test, because I do not have the misc tab in Devcfg.
Before calibration: Rot X 32767. Started calibrating everything. No response.
End calibration: blackbox pedal blinks red again. Rot X at 0.

Still tried to setup pedals ingame before and after calibration=no response.

It is strange that there is no Misc button in Test - the line that appears is Test Misc Enabled = 1 and you have it in the zconfig.ini file.
Maybe the file itself is not in the folder with VKBDevCfg-C.exe? Check both the folder itself and the spelling of the line.
And judging by the screenshots, the calibration did not happen - this is indicated by the absence of a tick in the Global-Common-Basic check-box.
It can also be confirmed by the numbers 255 in Profile-Axes-Physical Axes - KdHi, KdLo. It is advisable to show a screenshot of the Profile-Axes.
May need to reconnect to USB.

I've loaded another zconfig file, added the lines again and now I've got the tab. Same lights on blackbox.
Calibrated. Same happens again.
But now I've got a tick on calib and 3 red squared in MaRS 6,7,8.

Gonna send my folder pic, too.

I cleaned a bit of unnecessary posts. We carry it out consistently.
1.Need to reconnect to USB.
2.And repeat the procedure with a green "arrow" in Misc, until a green box against the 7 axis appears. If this is not done - change the cable to another (8pin is obligatory, straight, not cross).
3.And only then calibrate.

Repeated procedure, used another 2 straight 8 pins, nothing changed.

Which USB port do you plug in? 2.0 or 3.0? Port color - black = 2.0, blue = 3.0

Not sure tbh. Need to check. I quick guess would be 2.0.

Its blue, so 3.0.

After that, tried 2.0(Black). Same issue.

Let's try to remove (uninstall) our device from the system using the USBDeview (link at the bottom) program.
In the list of devices we find ours and by right-clicking the second item from the top. After we reconnect to USB and wait for system messages about the detection and installation of a new device.

1. Message: Detected utility, preparing installation.
2. Message: Utility installed and ready to use.

edit: Still same issues.

So, let's try an earlier firmware, for example 1.95_2, to take it in the same folder in the "Archive" folder.

Tried 1.95_2. Reconeccted USB. Same result as in 1.95_E.

I think you dumped after the firmware to factory settings with a red button in the configurator?
