Connecting Mamba Vintage Mk.III with T-Rudder Mk.IV?

Postby hazel » Wed Dec 12, 2018 3:22

Is it possible to connect Mamba Vintage Mk.III with T-Rudder Mk.IV? (I want stick and rudder under one usb)
I didn't find a way to connect Mamba Vintage to Black Box. T-Rudder can be connected directly to BUS Mamba Vintage?

Mamba has a RJ12 (6pin) connector called BUS and T-Rudder has a RJ45 (8pin) connector.
Can i connect T-Rudder with Mamba vintage using RJ12 to RJ45 cable? It will work or it will explode?

In no case! This can end badly.
The BUS connector is designed to bundle several devices into one, but all of them must have this connector. Note that there is no such connector in T-Rudder.
There is one Mars sensor. Only 3 wires are needed for its operation - (+) 3.3v, signal - (S) and Gnd - (-).
If you do not have a twist in the handle, then, having the appropriate skill, you can connect the pedals to the empty 4 axis - signed as G940.
Naturally, then configure and calibrate in the configurator.

Thank You Ron.
On this foto - that's the PCB from T-Rudder IV or from Black(orange)Box?
Can You describe precisely to connect what with what, with these 3 wires? 3 wire cable direclty from T-Rudder to Black Mamba?

I've got some skills with soldering and linking mini plugs and connectors, but i've limited knowledge on electronics. So i need more
precise info. Thank You.

If in Blackbox the axis of the pedals hangs at 7, then when connected to Mamba it will be 4. And in the configurator in the physical axes it will need to set the sensor type - D-Mars and calibrate.
You need to make a special adapter cable for connection and, accordingly, mount the connector on the Mamba case. But how to do this, your head should already hurt :) .

This is an image of Mamba PCB.
You can take standard patch cord with two RJ45 connectors (used to connect pedals to any controller with onboard RJ45 female connector such as ThrottleBox, TinyBox, BlackBox. Cut one connector and crimp 3 wires for female PH 2.0 2.0 mm 3-Pin Connector.

Simple solution can You write numbers 1,2,3 on T_Rudder pins and 1,2,3 on PCB pins from Mamba so I will know what to connect.
Thank You.

(I understand that in need to connect blue with blue and red with red
but I don't understand why there are 1 blue pin on T-Rudder and 3 blu on Mamba PCB)

I'm thinking in this way. But i can't read diagrams....
I'm taking a RJ45 connector and plug it to T-RudderIV.
On the other end of the cable I'm taking a wires number xxx
(I don't know which exactly, i don't know how to read this diagrams)

and contecting this 3 wires to MAMBA (I don't know where this 3 wires go to mamba PCB)
I know i can combine this 3 wires to white plug but i don't know what i need to connect exactly.

Look carefully at your cable and select the appropriate picture. Either T568A or T568B.
