MCG Pro Grip not properly connecting to gunfighter base.

I recently received a gunfighter mk.II base along with a MCG pro grip. When I first set it up and began flying, I noticed that the throttle was freely twisting to the left. When I went to tighten the screw that connects the grip to the base, the screw popped out to a looser position. I have tried to tighten it many times, and I can never get it tight enough to prevent the grip from twisting.
I originally contacted VKB North America support, but since I the product wasn't handled by them, they instructed me to use the support forum. It was brand new when I received it.
