rtrski> look at the Google album link he posted, there's also a video. To me it looks like a bad bearing.

No wire in it, just the plastic. No interference in the gimbal action, and just for testing purposes anyway :)

I've got the parts today - they took a long time to get through customs! Not your fault, there's all sorts of rubbish going on with electronics from China here in Australia.
I'll install them and report back with results and observations.

Cheers gents!

I've finished testing, after installing the replacement parts and wires. Problems seems to be fixed!

A little more info on the ticket, in relation to another matter that may need to be handled separately.

10/10 Team!!

So it was an electrical issue, not mechanical?

I'm leaning to electronic issue, however I'm just the client and not SME. I had a good look at the old boards and there don't appear to be any damage, corrosion or dry joins

Hi Team, this issue has since reared its head again. Same problems. Looking at replacing via the GF Upgrade Kit #2 - thoughts?

HI there, I have exactly the same issue as the OP. Will see if I have a connection not seated properly.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been busy with COVID :(

Updating the electronics to the latest version has fixed the issue. Had a blast with the rewiring!

That's really good news, getting successfully upgraded and especially making the recovery. All the best!
