Hi Team,

I've noticed this behaviour getting worse on my MCG Pro + Extension + Gunfighter Mk I base for some time.
I had first seen it shortly after receiving my GF, and emailed about it. With a FW update, it only seemed to go away.

I've updated to the latest v1_94_B FW for the MCG Pro, and the problem is no better or worse. It is only affecting the X-Axis.
I've opened the GF's case to inspect for debris or other funky things in the housing, and haven't spotted anything that shouldn't be there. Visually, everything seems fine.

What can we do, gents?

Shouldn't be difficult to fix, I think.
Remove the mechanism from the base and unplug the connectors of X-sensor. Don't just try to push them in with brute force hoping to restore contact: unplug and replug. No excessive force needed, just full out and full in.
Tell me if it worked.

It seems to have fixed that issue - I read the "MCG Pro Roll Axis Jumping" thread and suspected this had a chance of affecting my GF1 base as well, but not enough to go ahead and try that fix.
The problem was exactly that - a connector that was no longer fully seated. When I re-plugged the X-Sensor's cable into the socket, I noticed that the socket shifted on its pins. Possible dry joint?

On another note, I have a query regarding the smoothness of the movement on the X-Axis. I've noticed that despite the cams being clean and the X-Axis dry clutch being loose, I still have a fair amount of friction to overcome to move the stick on the X-Axis. It's enough to block out very fine movements, which isn't nice. On the other hand, the Y-Axis is buttery smooth.

What can I do to remove the friction on the X movement?

Try to swap the cams - the problem goes to the Y axis?

I wish that were so, but the problem exists even if I depress the X-cam away from the roller and move the stick.

Talking that scratching thing, pls take off the bottom cover and take a good picture of the inside. Pls allow some time to make it a really good picture (no hand-held camera, even no-shadow light, good sharpness, etc.) - as we need to look inside like the thing is sitting on our desk. Better take a couple of pics at a bit different angles. Don't be savvy on size/resolution.
Post them here, we will chew on it.

I notice that the X-axis plastic buffer is not truly parallel with the X-axis. This seems to be a minor issue, though.
As a workaround, I loosened off the friction nut for the X-Axis all the way back, and the axis is properly smooth.

Happy to continue to wait, after all I wasn't able to get these images for you before I was sent away.

I've been away for work again, apologies - I'll pull the pictures for the internals from the gallery and upload here.
The jittery input issue had earlier been temporarily resolved by re-seating or tightening the pins for the X-Axis. It's returned since then, and it's become worse. It only affects the X-Axis, and is still present even after immediately re-seating the X-Axis connector and pins. The stick is unusable.

Is that a wire twist tie wrapped around the connection point?? Are you sure that's not getting in the way of the gimbal action?
