First Stage trigger is not working

Postby Ace » Sat May 19, 2018 7:54

Hello VKB

Today, on dogfighting I've noticed the trigger is not working properly.

I made a video to help to understand better rather than just writing of this.

Please look at the video below.

I stretched the spring a little and the rattling sound disappeared (which was annoying). Perhaps, after that, she took her usual place.

Will stretching spring solve the button issue?

The spring, most likely, has shifted from its factory position. Therefore, the button does not work either. You can try and remove it without stretching and install it in a new way. This should solve the problem.

yesterday when I disassembled the grip and took the spring out then turned a little bit and assembled again, It worked 5/10. Could be a spring problem (I really hope so...) I will stretch it a bit more tomorrow.

take out trigger, and push the switch with ur finger than i will have 100% certainty that is not the spring
i think its not a spring, but the micro switch or other electronic problems like encoder or something along the way from the stick to pc

Yep I fixed it guys, It was spring problem. I disassembled the grip again and corrected its position and now it works as a new.

I contacted with VKB through E-mail and they told me in detail how to fix the problem.

I'm starting to have the same problems with my first stage trigger.

Ace, could you send me the instructions you got from VKB?

Regards,
Ashragon

Hello Ashragon.

Sorry to hear that you are having the same issue but I can assure you that this can be fixed!.

It happens mainly due to the spring inside the trigger compressed in a wrong way not pressing the button attached to the PCB board.

What VKB had suggested me to was,

1. Disassemble the trigger and pull out both spring and the trigger.

2. Correct the position of the springs and assemble it back.

3. Increase the thickness of the PCB board of the trigger by using glue tape, so it won't move.

You need a tiny screwdriver to disassemble the trigger mechanism.
