I've been updating the firmware and software for my stick since I've had it the first of the year. I've had some bumps in the road along the way but have found my way through all right. So I have a question about the sequence of operation when updating the firmware with ZBootloader. I was just wondering if what I'm seeing is proper. Here's what's happening to me:
Opening Device config--all is normal. I hit bootloader and config closes as I assume it should. I check in the task manager to verify that's happened--it has closed. I know they can't run together. At this point Bootloader isn't starting on it's own as I thought it would. I start Bootloader manually. Screen is normal, stick is ready. I select new firmware, click flash it. The flashing process begins but will seem to stop near the end with a "not responding" error. Bootloader doesn't close itself out, it's just hung up. At this point Device config is trying to start. I close it so they're not running together. I end task on bootloader so now both programs are closed. I start device config manually and it appears the firmware has flashed properly as the new firmware is shown at the top. I go thru the default/calibr/load my profile sequence and we're back to normal with updated firmware.
So at the end of this process everything is updated but the process just seemed kind of odd to me where the Bootloader hangs up. Maybe that's how it's supposed to work. Would just like to know if that's the case or if there's something going on. Otherwise, everything is great with the stick!
My system and stick info is in my sig.
Thanks!

Re: Sequence of operation in ZBootloader?
There is still such in the interface, it seems that the Z-bootloader hovered and did not respond and the running strip did not reach the end, but stopped somewhere in front of the FlashIt button. But after a while we will see the line Error = 0 and exit from Zbootloader. While we live with this, do not pay attention. The main result is that the firmware has been updated.

I put the info in my sig. FYI I've had this "issue" all along regardless of various versions of softwares. In the end it DOES seem to update properly, it just seems like it trips over itself along the way.

OK so you're seeing that too then? And I'm not crazy! I was just wondering if it was "normal". I'm sure it'll get worked out eventually but meanwhile, as you pointed out, the stick IS updating at the end. Thanks!
