Problem setting mini stick as buttons

Postby scipio72 » Sun Mar 04, 2018 20:26

Hi

I want to set the mini sticks to activate button pushes. I had no problem doing this with the master mode stick but can't get it to work with the gate cont stick.
Here are the settings I tried

Try to set 6 & 7 axes (your ministick2 input) as virtual instead of DMaRS.

I changed 6 and 7 to virtual

and hit the set button but got no change.
I noticed the test page only shows POV 1. Here's a shot in case it helps

Not sure if I did it correctly but it works ... First set the stick back as dmars, then go to the Axes2Buttons tab, set number 5 and 6 to edges 2 for type, set the hysteresis (I think this is how far you move the stick to activate button push? I have mine set to 1%) and set the virtual button number in the last pulldown box.

TS has Gladiator, so Axis#5 is analog, Throttle, Z axis. Axes 6 & 7, Rot Y & Rot Z are used for POV2. By default they are used for pedals, D-Mars type. IMHO. Thus axes numbers are right.
Try! Practice is a criterion of the truth))

A little bit of advice on how to insert and edit screenshots - when you inserted a screenshot in Paint and want it to occupy the whole place when you save it without an unnecessary white box on the right (maybe not just on the right), you need to drag a small white box to the bottom right (1) (2). Save and paste into your post. I think nothing complicated. An example with your screenshot.

Show a screenshot of the Global and Profiles tab-> Buttons-> physical and logical level.
Try it after saving the values with the Set button, press Restart next to it, on the left.
And yet, just in case, change the value in HID Usage one Slider to Dial.

How do you test virtual buttons press? Joytester, Windows, Test tab of VKBDevCfg?
Save your current profile. Go to Butt0ns - logical layer tab. Press Srv button. Press Clear all button and OK in Physical layer dialog. We try to enable all buttons (No function disable) and reset logical button mapping (their numbers will correspond to physical ones). Set new settings and test stick.
You see one POV only because #HAT counter value = 1 (Global - Common tab). Check.
Try to set another first button number. Instead of 45.
