smoothness

Hi All,
I am having a few minor problems with my stick (new Gunfighter Pro with MCG Pro), initially the problem presented as the stick not returning properly to center 100% of the time, I increased the springs to #30's and its helped a little, but its still not perfect... Additionally its not super smooth, you can feel slight bumps/ripples as you move the stick around...
While increasing the springs from #20 to #30, I noticed that the cams surface (where it meets the bearing) was a little rough, but I also noticed that it wasn't chrome/silver it had a copper tinge to it, after reading some other threads I found some people referring to the coating coming off - i am wonder if this is occuring.
ps - I have about 2 hours run time on the stick, so barely any use at all..
ps2 - I have loosened off the dry clutches, which didn't really change anything in terms of return to centre or smoothness.
ps3 - I used the VKB Joy Tester for checking the return to centre function..
Any ideas?
Regards
David
