I was able to make the buttons show up by unplugging the usb cable, now when i flash the new firmware i'm getting "write error".

Now i managed for cfg not showing my joysticks at all.
I tried restarting my computer and unplugging them and still they're not showing up in the cfg software.

Quit doing anything.
Wait for instructions.

Just launch zbootloader. I hope you will see OK message)) Update firmware or reset controller without upgrade.

Your device is already in boot mode.
Just launch the zbootloader and not VKBDevCFG, and you will be good.

Thanks for the quick help!
See attached pic.

I think i managed to install the new firmware but the blackbox paired with the mcg pro still blinks red light.
Is there a way to make it solid yellow like it was before?

... and in it I see 2 (two) joysticks.
Do you have 2 devices connected to your computer?
Or, 2 Black Boxes?
Either way, please post the EXTERNAL tab screenshot.

i use a dual gunfighter pro joystick setup, with the mcg pro on the right side.
each joystick has its own black box.
excuse my noobness but which tab are you referring at, i see action, tools and settings tabs. is the external tab one of those 3?

A guy with a dual setup cannot be called a noob in any case! 8)

1 - what's on your 2nd base?
2 - whatever it is, only keep 1 base connected when configuring it, otherwise the system (and we poor techsupport elves and fairies) get screwed up
3 - I have a suspicion you did not default the system after calibration... true?

1) On one base i have the mcg pro and on the other the kg12.
2,3)I had calibrated them in the past, how do i turn them back to default?
Also after i turn them back to default should i try to flash the firmware again at 1 base at a time?

Here is HOW TO set the system to default (exceptionally well written by @rrohde): https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3349350&postcount=110
In that post you will also see links to a couple of posts at this forum.
I understand you - this software utility can be a bit scary and tricky but in fact after you master it it will give you really full control over your devices. Worth some time wasted on getting used to it.

And no, after you default them you don't need to reflash the firmware (presuming you had already done it and the current FW is the newest). Defaulting the system is the final step of all the FW update procedure. Then you re-calibrate the stick (re-calibrate is NOT equal to re-flash), and go flying.
