Hi Guys, great stick. I just have been getting a slightly odd result in the VKB_JoyTester. I felt that the Y-axis was harder to move forward than backward - and this is reflected in the attached graph. Is there any way to change this?
On closer inspection, I can also hear a rubbing sound when pushing the stick forward. There is no sound when I pull the stick, back, left, or right. It is definitely rubbing on something in the forward travel of the y-axis.
Gunfighter Y-Axis imbalance?

Re: Gunfighter Y-Axis imbalance?
Yes, I have released the damper screws fully, as well as the vertical damper nuts fully. The problem exists with or without the dampers. I tried loosening the cam bearing nut, and this didn't make any difference.
I have tried with or without the extension, and with or without the grip, but it doesn't make a difference. I thought my desk had a lean, but I turned the base 180 degrees, and the problem was still there. What else can I try?

My results look the same.
I have pointed UIV to this thread as well - maybe he can clarify whether or not is this of concern. But in-game (DCS here), it all works really well.

Thanks for checking Rainer. I guess it would be good to hear what causes the imbalance - ie. is it rubbing against something, or is it an inherent minor imbalance with the y-axis. The rubbing sound that I am getting is also something I'd like some info on, as I can't pinpoint what it would be myself.

Re: Gunfighter Y-Axis imbalance?
So, according to UIV, the axes have a different center of mass, so the oscillations cannot be the same because of that. Nothing rubs, everything is fine!

Brilliant, that makes more sense now. I would imagine this is why the oscillation variation is reduced slightly without the extension and just the grip. The pendulum effect of the grip+extension probably makes the graph look a lot scarier.
