Gunfighter Buttons Not Working - Red flashing LED

Postby joeedee » Tue May 09, 2017 9:22

Just received my new Gunfighter. The axis are detected and working normally however none of the buttons are being detected. On the black box I have a blue 'Sys' indicator LED and a red flashing 'Stick' indicator LED. That lack of instruction make it a little frustrating and difficult for me to troubleshoot. So far I have managed to download and run the latest VKBDevCon which detects the devices as VKB Sim Black Box GF v1.852 PRO.

When I attempt to run button wizard I get the following error "Access violation at address 00426B7B in module 'VKBDevCon-C.exe'. Write of address 0000038A.

Correction if I set VKBDevCon to expert mode Button Wizard will open without error however still will not detect button presses.

I have also attempted to flash the box with FirmwareLoader which shows the following error Loader not Found! When I try to load _BlackBox_GF_v1_85_2.vkb I get the following error

5/9/2017 4:07:26 PM
Firmware: C:\Users\MainPC\Desktop\_BlackBox_GF_v1_85_2.vkb
Loader not found!

zconfig as follows:

[Common]

Reconnect=1

Y_POS=137
F10_X_POS=1321

I am fairly confident that this would be a software/firmware problem, I would be extremely dissapointed if I got a dud out of the box. Could anyone offer some troubleshooting advice, and please provide clear instructions as although I am reasonably good with computers I am no programmer.

Thanks

Dear joeedee. I try to help you in another your topic viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2618
P.S. Firmwareloader is not for Gunfighter. Don't use this software for Gunfighter.

I'm having the same issues as joeedee and I checked all cables for a secure fit. The stick was working fine for my in the stock set up with both axis and buttons registering.

This morning I installed the warthog adapter but the buttons are not working regardless of which stick I have installed unto the base. If I check the windows game controllers properties, the axis is active but 0 buttons work. I did try to install the warthog profile as per the instructions but no joy.

At the moment the only light I have illuminated on the blackbox is the blue sys light, everything else is turned off. At some point I did have the stick light flashing red though.

Did you loaded Warthog profile to the Blackbox controller?
