According your screenshot from vkbjoytester, the clutch of X-axis adjusted like a "helicopter style". Helicopter stick have no the central position of stick (central position can "float" in big range).
Just reduce the force of the clutch and the grip will return to the center position with very high accuracy (as in my screenshot)

I had boxed up the stick to send it back.

I have the same issues with the program even when running in admin mode.

I removed the nuts & washers on both dry clutches. I even removed the bolt on the X axis side.
This was rather hard due to how they tend to spin freely.
I found in testing now it is consistent, but still consistently right.

This may be some sort of super modular stick, but right now I just have something that spins me in circles.

Also, why did you put the X axis clutch nut under the wire connection?

Let me explain, how Blackbox controller works.
By default, the controller works with autocentering function.
"Autocentering" - after you plug the joystick to USB port, the controller identify the current position of the grip as central position. Autocentering used in many joysticks (most of Saitek and Thrustmaster sticks used same way for center checking)
Disconnect the Blackbox from USB. Don't touch the stick. Re-connect the controller to USB. And test the stick again by vkbjoytester.

I hope this short guide can help you for right adjustments viewtopic.php?f=27&t=2608
I'm sorry, now we are busy on the production line. But later I can add photos to the post for better understanding.
Connector must be in this place. Connector must be in this place. Of another place, problem with wires can happen.
For easy access to the clutch, need to detach the gimbal from the base.

Unplugged blackbox from USB cord, plugged back in:

Please explain how the Blackbox would cause the gimble & stick to physically lean right?

Intresting.
Disconnect the Blackbox from USB.
Move the grip to left for 10 degrees. Don't change the stick angle and connect the controller to USB. Upload the screenshot from tester again.

Don't worry. Just few questions more and we can find a reason.

I'm not completely sure what you are asking.

I unplug stick, pull to the left, release. Plug in USB and test:

I unplug stick. I use a stack of coins to keep it slightly left of its natural resting point. I plug in stick and test:

Everything is clear. You controller in "manual" calibrating mode.

Now we need to solve the problem with VKBDevCfg-C and return the calibration to normal

Just run the VKBDevCfg-C. Don't do anything.
Does the error window appear?

I am contacting rrohde and requesting a full refund.

It is clear that this product is defective with hardware and software issues.
