Struggling a bit here
I have my FBM which I've double sprung and use an extension.
I know its not recommended but its the only way I can get an acceptable spring force close to the center of the axes and also get an acceptable throw.
In order not to overstrain the stick at the axes limits I was wanting to introduce a 5% deadband at the top and bottom of the axes.
However I'm not exactly sure how to go about this and would appreciate if somebody could explain now to input deadbands to the axes
How to set up Deadzones in FBM III Using VKB Dev Config?

Re: How to set up Deadzones in FBM III Using VKB Dev Config?
I'd like to know as well for my MkIV pedals and glad pro.
Also, if adjusting the precision value in the CFG program, the default is 10. Does moving the number to 11 or 12 make it more precise or less precise ? Or do I need to go the other direction, like 8 or 9 for more or less precision ?

Weegie
1. About deadzones
Look at Logical axes tab.
Dz Lo Deadzone in center or bottom of axis. For axis with center specifies deadzone value in the center, %. If an axis has no center - deadzone for low end of range.
Dz Hi Deadzone in top of axis. For axis with center specifies deadzone values for high and low ends, %. If an axis has no center - deadzone for high end of range.
2. About custom curves - later)) Do you remember Scheherazade? of One Thousand and One Nights))

Do not change default MPL values if it works OK)). You must do it in case of sensor exchange. MARS to potentiometer for example.

Re: How to set up Deadzones in FBM III Using VKB Dev Config?
I understand the MPL(multiplier) setting and how that works, but what I'm talking about is the "Precis" setting in the logical axis tab. What exactly does this do and does making the number lower or higher make it more or less precise ? I mean, does setting it from 11 to 12 on an axis make it more precise or less precise ?
Re: How to set up Deadzones in FBM III Using VKB Dev Config?
I have heard and read 10001 nights Victorus BUT it was a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago ;o)
That's great I now have my explanations and understand perfectly.
I don't normally fly with curves, but I thought I'd ask as I could not quite make out what the graph was telling me as I adjusted the values (you would have never guessed I used to be an engineer but not a very good one )
The Hi deadzone also configuring the low deadzone was well worth me posting up for, it's the little gems like this that catch me out
Thank you once again Victorus
