I need to get in touch with someone who can help me with possibly replacing my Gladiator joystick. Recently I started noticing that my hat switch was making a creaking sound when looking around and today it stopped working. I do not have head tracking and this is my only means of looking around while flying and I'm grounded until I can get a new joystick

Where and when did you purchase your Gladiator?

If it is still under warranty, it might be possible to have a replacement hat switch shipped to you (part is free; however, shipping cost applies).

I purchased it online in September of last year through Amazon. Would installing the replacement part be difficult? I'm not too good at disassembling things and putting them back together correctly that's why I'm asking. I was sorta hoping that I could send my old unit back and receive a new MK.II when they become available .

I'll have UIV look at you post and let him determine the course of action here. Might be a day or so before he gets around to answering.

My hat switch quit working and the calibration tools within Xplane 11 registers no action with any up/down/left/right of the hat switch. To clarify: I'm not talking about the top switch...I'm referring to the side mounted toggle button that controls pitch trim. It simply does not work.
I've taken the module off the grip and unplugged it. All up/down/left/right actions are unrestricted and (I'm guessing) the internal circuit board has failed? Is it possible to order that specific part?
Please let me know as the hat switch is really needed for smooth transitioning from climb to level flight. Using keyboard-assigned buttons is a drag.
