Warthog Adapter for Gladiator Pro - Installation Problems

I have tried yesterday to install the Warthog adapter. The mechanical changes (spring and cam in the Gladiator Pro base) went well.
But I have terrible problems with the installation of the adapter in the Warthog grip.
Note: I did not see a guide for installing the WH adapter with the Gladiator Probase, so I used the one titled "How to install Warthog Adapter on Mamba"
1. Removing the original connector from the PCB (printed circuit board) was almost impossible. I could not pull it out with my fingers. I had to use small pincers and although I tried to be gentle, a pice of the connectors plastic broke off, and then one of the wires cme out. In the end I forced the connector out but it crumbled into amall pieces and the wires all came out.
This is obviously a TM quality problem, but it means that I will no longer be able to use the grip with its original TM base.
2. I plugged in the VKB adapter and tried to put the grip cover back on; but that was impossible, because of the extra PCB which is included in the WH adapter but not shown in the guide.
I'm talking about the small PCB with 3 wires at the base end and 5 wires at the TM end. I found it impossible to place this PCB in such a way that I could put the grip cover back on.
The extra PCB is not shown in the guide and without it I can see that it would be possible to put the grip cover back on.
Note: the TM stick is a relatively new one, delivered in 2016.
Please let me know how to get this done!

I decided to give it another try, and managed to get the adapter installed inside the grip. Uff!
Now I would like to run the config; but I'm not sure which version to use. I read posts on the forums about difficulties with this or that version, and I don't want to take risks.
Please let me know!
Thanks,
Hans-Werner

Thanks Victorus, but there are multiple versions of most everything. Which versions do I have to use...
- Profile
- firmware
How do I load the firmware? I tried the program "FirmwareLoader.exe" but it tells me "Loader not found!". What is it looking for?
There needs to be a document that describes the process (which steps in which sequence) spelling out clearly which program(s) to use (incl. version) and which version of profile and firmware.

Use the latest versions of firmware and software. Posts in this topic
http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2355 solve the problem similar to your.
Try! I am awaiting for results.

I tried both WIZZO v0_73 and v0_83.
In both cases when I opened [Advanced settings] and the clicked the red button labelled "Bootloader", I got the message "Jostick not found, please check the connection".
And when I hit [OK], WIZZO closed as expected and the red light on the joystick base was extinguished. I had to dis connect and re-connect the joystick each time to get the red light back on.
So, no progress made.

Sokol on the DCS forum pointed me to a configurator version that allowed me to load firmware and profile. But I cannot get get any response from the buttons on the TMWH grip. It seems that there is a hardware problem, and I may have damaged the socket when I pulled out the connector of the wires that connect to the TMWH base. Or I have damaged something else in the process of squeezing the little PC board of the adapter underneath the original circuit board of the WH grip. It's an awful process!
Anyway, I give up. No more support required. I don't know whether this WH adapter works for many people, but it doesn't work for me, and I don't want to waste any more time with this.

Try to test wires using ohmeter. Please show VKBDevCfg tabs Global - Common and External, Profile - Buttons - Physical layer.
Extract additional PCB and explore it. Shoot it and show pictures here.
I have repaired HAT of TMWH grips two times. Had to disassembly whole grip and then hat itself)) It is hard but interesting. And maybe we will have results))

And with the old, its own base grip works?

The old what? And what is a base grip? The joystick has a base and a grip; but no base grip.
The VKB Gladiator base with the VKB Gladiator grip works fine.

This was the Warthog base. Does her native grip work?
