T-Link beta! http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Programms/T-Link_v0_66_1.zip
Firmware and profile for T-Link http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Firmware/BlackBox/BB_v1_81_6.zip
After setting the brake button in the T-Link, restart the program.

Tested with BlackBox. It works.

Thanks.
Can someone give me a primer on how I update the Firmware on the Blackbox?
What version of the config software should I use?

Info about versions you can find in readme file (inside zip-file)

Doesn't appear to be working.
Here's what I did:
Flashed Black Box, appeared to work OK.
Ran T-Link. Assigned Warthog Throttle key #5 to Brake function.
Started DCS Open BETA and attempted to assign Left Brake function to P-51D aircraft.
DCS did not recognize Left pedal of rudder with Throttle #5 key depressed.

Checked Rudder pedals in Game Controller properties.
With Throttle key depressed, only "X Rotation" axis moved with pedals, the same as with normal rudder assignments.

All tests performed with T-link running, active and "Data" being transmitted. I stopped and started T-link several times.

I'm running Win 10, 32gb RAM, GTX 1070 4gb, I7-6700K

Now, having said all that, how about some basic instructions on T-link and assigning the left/right brake axis in a game, say DCS? I assume I was doing it correctly but who knows?
Thanks

Here's an updated version of the T-Link software (naming convention is the same, just a newer test release):
http://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=t-link-software

As for basic instructions - I figured this out some time ago for my MkIII T-Rudders, and I hope it still applies here:

1) I assigned a brake button for these virtual toe brakes on one of my HOTAS devices by clicking the ^ button on the left, and the pressing the button I want for toe brake on my HOTAS stick.

2) Press the Start/Stop button, and this will enable the T-Link software to run in the background while playing DCS.

3) I tested my virtual toe brake button, and it actually triggered the Y and Z axes of the T-Rudder itself. So long as you keep the virtual toe brake button pressed, the Y and Z axes go to the max extent. If you depress the left/right rudder pedals respectively, while still pressing and holding the virtual toe brake button, only the Y or the Z axis is activated.

Now I have to test it in DCS; I believe I will have to assign the Tiny Box' (in the case of the Mk.IV pedals, it's BlackBox) Y and Z axis to the wheel brake axes for each plane? Going to give it a shot!

EDIT: Okay, I've tried it just now with the Me-109 and it works surprisingly well! So, what I've done was the following:

1) With the T-Link started, and verifying that it runs in the background (there's a small green icon in the taskbar indicating it's on), I went into DCS.
2) I went to the Axis Assign options of the 109 and selected the Left Wheel Brake (Analog) Axis. In order to assign it, I depressed my T-Rudder to the left, and then pressed the HOTAS button that I assigned as virtual toe brake earlier. DCS picked up the correct T-Rudder axis assignment (Y-Axis).
3) I repeated the same for the Right Wheel Brake (Analog) Axis of my 109; pressing the T-Rudder first and then the assigned HOTAS button triggered the Z-Axis of the T-Rudder.
4) After a quick test, all I had to do was invert the Y and Z Axes of my virtual toe brakes, and I'm in business!
5) FYI - I didn't have to assign the Both Wheels Brake axis in DCS, because when not depressing the T-Rudder pedals, the assigned HOTAS button brakes both wheels - thanks to this T-Link software.

No go with 66.2 version of t-link.
Same result:
Assigned button using method described above, restarted t-link, hit start to activate, T-link says "sending data", started DCS, attempted to assign left (and right) wheel brake by depressing left rudder pedal and "brake" joystick button, DCS would not recognize assignment.
Verified T-link running with DCS.

I don't think it's working with the Black Box, i.e., T-link or Black Box is not sending axis data to system/DCS. I tried different joystick buttons and t-link says it records the button and in fact the assigned button is reflected when t-link restarts, but axis assignment is not modified when button is pushed. I see that someone says they tested with black box, perhaps they can describe how they tested and if in fact they assigned a brake axis in a game.

Jjohnson, have you seen additional virtual axes working in Windows plugin or VKB Joytester? The axes do not work at all or in DCS only?

I finally got it working in DCS on the P-51D.
I went back and loaded the T-link profile from the download in the previous post and hit "Set" and then I saw the brake axes in the Config action tab.
Went into DCS at that point and could assign the Axes for left and right brake.
Apparently the right profile has to be loaded and "set" to get this to work.

VKB, please, please spend some time and document the Configuration utility and T-Link.

Anyhow, thanks for your help, particularly RRonde who nursed me along.

So, as a customer, I have tested and certify that T-Link provides Toe (or Differential) Brake functionality to the Mk IV Rudder Pedals.
:D

Good to hear that you've been successful with that! :)

And yes, we all at VKB concur that ENG documentation is currently still a sore spot that needs to be addressed in due time. Sorry about the inconvenience, but at least you're taxiing the DCS warbirds like a champ now! ;)

It's great to see you've managed to use the T-Link!
It's also fully functional with the T-Rudder Mk.II

Yes, this has to be done, and will, eventually ;)

I've just bought a set of the MK IV peddles and everytime I try to connect to them with the T link software it says device could not be opened
