Thanks a lot rrohde. I downloaded the file and flashed the Glad Pro to v1.82. I reset the Gladiator Pro and recalibrate but unfortunately the Pedals are still NOT detected.

Hi Guys

I see some configurations have the firmware v1.82 but can't find it anywhere?

Bye, David

Thanks UIV,

I will make a new cable. I have to obtain some new RJ-45 connectors and as we have an ice storm coming in it may take me a day or 2. In the mean time I want to make sure I am making the cable as you suggest to move the Pedals to Axis #6. Based upon your picture and that the cable that came with the rudders is a straight-through cable this is what I think you are suggesting?

Yes I flashed it and it is OK. :D
The only snag is to define the buttons in the simulator again,but it's fun after all.
The combination of the Gladiator Pro and Warthog grip is fantastic.
I still didn't change the springs in the base as there are many complainers of too much strain on the grip.:?:

Thanks again

You can do another photo, from a different angle? Interested contact by arrows ( 1and 3). The remaining visible, and these are not present. :(

Just wondering here - why is there a need to make this new cable?
Was the original cable lost or so?

UIV, here is a better picture:

Please note that the Rudders are working correctly if I plug them into my old Tiny Box Controller.

Rrohde,

No, I have the original cable and I confirmed that it is just a straight-though Ethernet cable. From what UIV has said, the Gladiator pro can receive External Axis information on 3 different pins of the RJ45 adapter:

Pin1 = Axis 6
Pin3 = Axis 7 (Default for the TRudder Pedals)
Pin7 = Axis 8

What UIV wants me to do is make a custom cable that moves the rudder axis input from pin3 (Axis 7) to Pin 1 (Axis 6) and then see if the rudders are detected by the Gladiator Pro on Axis 6.

thanks,

Kevin

UIV,

I made the cable as you specified swapping to cable connection to move Pin 3 from the Pedals to Pin 1 of the Gladiator Pro (and vice versa). This worked! My pedals are now showing up in VKB Device Config on Axis 6. Changing my profile so that the Rx axis was on AXID 6 got my pedals back working on Rot X. Thanks ALOT for your help!!!!! There is still the mystery of why Axis 7 appears to be dead on my Glad Pro but I am at least back in action for now! Here are the screenshots. If anyone else wants to try this the order of wires with the RJ45 connector oriented with the latch DOWN is as follows from Left to Right(note you only change one end of a standard Ethernet cable):

Orange/White
Solid Orange
Green/White
Solid Blue
Blue/White
Solid Brown

I had given up on getting the rudders to work with the Gladiator Pro but gave it one last shot. I had a spare Ethernet cable that came with my Direct Tv Modem 'yellow' and changed out the Pedal cable with it. Everything works now so it was the cable that came with the Rudders that was messed up. I have been trying to get them to work for a year. It just didn't make sense that I would have to spend that much time with messing around with the program config files so before you go through what I did change the cable out.
