Hello,

I am about to receive the T-Rudder pedals MK. IV and the Gladiator Pro MK.II stick, and I was wondering, what are the advantages of connecting the pedals through the stick (apart from saving a USB port), instead of using the blackbox for the pedals?

Additionally, what has been updated on the Gladiator Pro MK. II stick over the MK.I, and do I have to update the firmware on both the pedals and the stick once they arrive?

Best,
MF

Hi There

I connected the pedals via the joystick and it works well.
Take in mind that you will not see the pedals anywhere, but the axis are there.
Gladiator Pro MKII :Quick Release Grip Mechanism (new for the Mk.II)
Spring loaded, 3-pin electrical Connector (new for the Mk.II)
About the MKII read here http://vkbcontrollers.com/?product=vkb-gladiator

Bye, David

Thanks for the reply David.
Which axis exactly do I have to look for in the various sims, if I look for the pedals, connected to the Gladiator Pro?

The rudder axis only,no toe brake.
I think they have the new Wizzo software that can define the toe brakes.
I my self have other rudder pedals now with toe axis.

In games select rudder command assignment and move the pedal, will show their rudder axis there.

BTW - The software for brakes is T-Link (available in FTP), don't create "tip toe brakes", but that "bicycle brake lever" common on grip of British/Russian planes using a joy/throttle button:

Imageupload pngcertificity.com

This virtual "bicycle brake lever" are able to brake one or other wheel or both wheels in any plane in any game, e.g. DCSW P-51 combining the action of lever with rudder pedal movement.

T-Link: http://ftp.vkb-sim.pro/Programms/T_link_v0_66_2.zip

T-Link is not needed in IL-2: BoS/BoM - all planes of this game already have this "bicycle brakes lever" "installed" - and if the real plane (e.g. Bf 109) has "tip toe brakes" has both types of brake system and not exclusively "tip toe brakes" (e.g. Bf 109 can use both system, iL-2 only "bicycle brakes lever"), strange as it may seem. :o

Probable a RoF engine legacy or maybe a intentional help for people with twist rudder stick, they are able to brake one or other wheel twisting the stick and pressing a button for "wheel brakes". :)

I'm hoping someone can help - I recently purchased a Gladiator Mark II and the Mark IV pedals. The pedals work fine with the Blackbox, connected via USB (was able to calibrate with T-Link v.0.69.5 successfully). However I would prefer to connect directly to the Gladiator, not least to save a USB port. When I connect the pedals directly to the Gladiator with the supplied RJ45 cable into the 'Pedals' socket they don't seem to be detected. I have tried calibrating via Wizzo v.0.88 but they are not detected/visible in the Wizzo interface. I have tried different USB ports, unplugging the Gladiator and reconnecting with pedals attached - all to no avail. I have the latest firmware. Slightly frustrating! Am I doing something wrong?

Step 1: in WIZZO reset the joystick to factory defaults
Step 2: in WIZZO re-calibrate the joystick AND pedals (connected)
This should work. Tell me if it does/doesn't.

CFG file for Gladiator+T-Rudder+software toe brakes here: https://yadi.sk/d/hlqJDZQQ3LB9Sm
I took Gladiator controller and TinyBox one. Set it to Default, looked at axes and buttons settings and copied to Gladiator.
Pinky button (#47) became TrA+ for virtual axis#4 (invisible). Virtual axes #6&8 have the same AxID #4. When you press pinky, axes #6&8 will move as both brakes. They are combined with #7 axis (physically connected T-Rudder axis) with BrakeV mode, 8%. When you press pinky and move pedal more than 8% of response range corresponding brake axis will be released.

Pedals connected to axis#7. Can change to axis#6 (1 pin) or 8 (pin #7)

I´m trying to connect the Axis#7 to an Arduino. Delivered the needed 3,3V and GND to the Sensorboard. But can´t see any data from the sensor. What´s the output of this pin exactly?

The MARS sensor only works with the VKB controller.

No way. If I understood you correctly.
