FBM Possible to Use Axis Trim to Trim Another Device?

Postby Weegie » Thu Aug 04, 2016 21:00

Bit of a long shot but worth a try to see if Victorus or another expert would chime in to answer

The FBM has Pseudo analog rotaries for trimming in 3 axes

I am using 2 at the moment to modify my X & Y axes, for the stick, so what they do is move the axis by a fixed amount as I turn them and create an offset, for FBM "X" & "Y" axes.

This is really useful for trimming aircraft in flight sims, as it can be used even when the aircraft themselves do not have a trim function

However I have a 3rd trimmer marked as RDR (Rudder?) trim and I'd like to be able to use that with my rudders. However the rudders are obviously a separate device (I'm using Crosswinds) so I wondered if this was possible, to configure this way.

If it's not then fine, if it is, could somebody walk me through the process using the VKB software to achieve this.

I'd also like to be able (as I do with the other trim functions) to use the button on the trimmer as a Reset, to zero any offset I put in.

Possible a stupid question but, if you don't ask, you don't get

John
