Gladiator Pro Manual

Postby andor » Mon Jul 25, 2016 12:36

I just received my gladiator Pro today, but no manual was included.

Can I download one somewhere?

Your sig says "Visit Stratojet for all your VKB needs in North America - www.gostratojet.com".

So as you might now have guessed i'm from that little insignificant bit outside of north america.

But hey, thanks, you've been absolutely no help at all.

The Gladiator Pro doesn't exist yet out there in the wild.

Perhaps you received a the non-pro Gladiator? :)

Here's a PDF quick guide that should help with the Gladiator's configuration software "WIZZO":

Does this help?

The gladiator pro is the all metal cam based gimbal with no twist, yes? I assure you this is what I recieved yesterday. I was after information regarding the different cams and springs.

Hi andor,

You're one lucky and early owner then ;) Welcome to the metal gimbal world!
In Europe people are not even allowed to throw their money to pre-order the Gladiator Pro

[ EDIT: I obviously assume you own a Gladiator Pro, but Jason should be aware if there's some Pro already shipped - so I hope no one is wasting time here  ]

I don't think there's a detailed manual including the gimbal technical details yet, but it should be identical to the Black Mamba MkIII gimbal.

About the cams :
  • the 10 one gives the soft center feeling
  • the 30 one gives the hard center feeling

For the springs, unless you have a more detailed information, there's that thread (w/ picture).
(assuming you received similar springs)

For the advanced configuration, you'll have to refer to that reference thread. It's a dive into complexity, so I'd suggest you only take that road if you really want to achieve some very specific configurations ;)

And don't hesitate to ask your questions on the forum. VKB and a bunch of enthusiasts will drop by and try to help.

I'm sorry, I hadn't realised that this wasn't supposed to be available yet. I didn't mean to cause any confusion. I guess someone messed up, hopefully no one gets in trouble. Regardless, I do in fact have the Gladiator Pro. Crappy phone photo for proof.

Thanks to Bourrinopathe and rrohde for your help.

Jason, you come off really rude and I don't appreciate being accused of lying. If I had been confused and not known what product I had, as the distributor you should being trying to help and set me straight/point me in the right direction, like rrohde did.

Nice package, thanks for the picture ;)

So your Gladiator Pro has the soft center cams installed. You'll be able to mount the "30" hard center ones if you want.
There's a "cams replacement" video for the Black Mamba MkIII but it's very similar to your Gladiator Pro.

Here's the info about the springs (the color coding is a recent addition ;) ):

UIV wrote:From weak to strong:
White - 3 pcs in bag
Yellow - 1 pc (2pcs already installed in gimbal)
Green - 3 pcs
Blue - 3 pcs
Black - 3 pcs (only for extension or Warthog Adaptor)

And apparently, you have the metal trigger bonus!
