I received my Gladiator Joystick.

The mode switch does't work as published buttons are the same whether the led is red or green.

I downloaded VKB programming software but am unsure how to proceed.

Do you have a profile that I can upload to the joystick so the mode switch will work as advertised.

Jason the istruction manual says the mode switch ( The one that changes the led from red to green ) Is meant to change the Base switches A1-C3 according to the Manual and the shift button changes the grip format.

The Shift button works but not the mode button tho' the leds do change colour.

OK I get it now, because the LED's were next to those switches I thought thats what they referred to.

I guess my next question is can I make the mode button apply to all the A1 to C3 switches.

Ok I got it programmed the VKB config program is not too intuitive but by copying some of the other buttons I got the stick programmed with 50 buttons.

A Ground set Green led
An Airborne Set Red LED
A Close Combat set Red LED with Shift button.

A fantastic Joystick very impressed.

I was gonna upload the CFG file but this server wont let me sorry.

Congratulations on programming your Gladiator!

The software might not be intuitive but it's full of interesting features.
If the attachment option is reluctant to accept your file, maybe you could share your profile on a free public hosting site?

Is their any documentation any where that shows which fuctions are programmed on each of the 50 buttons?

I can't seem to get Andy's profile to work with my Gladiator (firmware v1.801 + VKB Device Config v0.77.26).

There's no documentation but it should be pretty straight forward.
Andy apparently added the pinky shift to the base while the RED mode is on, meaning that each button on the base act as a different button when you hold the pinky (just like the buttons on the grip) - therefore it should add 13 new buttons to the base using that modifier. ONLY for the RED mode.

But, again, for whatever reason, I can't use that profile (it gets stuck on "Write data…").
Did you manage to use it?

Sorry I have been busy I will check my Firmware when I get home but to answer your question yes.
The green led gave 9 buttons on the base
The red led gave 9 plus another nine with the shift pinky switch.

The flaps were red and green no pinky change.

All I did after editing the switches was upload it using the .77 vkbconfig program.

I will download then config and double check it at the end of the week.

Suggestions:
2 triggers with subshift = 4 weapons.
POV - I suggest external views (enemy/friend), zoom in/out, w. sshift cockpit view/external view (self), map, briefing (big map).
mode button - shift1 with fix. Applied to flaps, eject and start buttons, various purposes))
a1/c1 Y axis (pitch) trim, b1 trim reset. 2 same for X (roll) axis, 3 - for Rx (twist, yaw).
Led indicates idle mode (no shift), sShift (pinky) and shift (mode button).

The Gladiator is Firmware 1.801 same as yours.

I tried to upload it but it wont let me. It is the same file as the one on the DCS forum tho.

A quick question here. I just got the US version of the Gladiator (non-pro). Is there a way to make the pinky button act as a regular button and not a mode-switch button?
