VKB Gunfighter Mk3 with F-14 Tomcat grip issue after two months (red blinking light on the right side of the blackbox)

Wow, sorry but i am really not confident at all doing this oO

I don't want to break something or being unable to put everything back in the good position.

Is there any other way to proceed like send it back to you for troubleshooting / fixing it / do a swap this a working one under warranty ?

I mean, it's a two month grip and handle which was working and then suddenly in-game does not work and from the troubleshooting we already did it looks like this is not for an obvious reason :-/

Watch this video and do the same.
Understand, perhaps, the reason is trivial and this can be corrected by doing unnecessary transfers. You will not lose the warranty during disassembly.

Step 1 and 2 done and no problems with the connectors (You don't want me to plug the first base connector to the grip connector plug?)

For the twist module I don't know how to dissassemble it since it is not in the video provided which show only how to open the grip.

This is how you open up the twist module (don't worry if you see a different grip in the video, as Kosmosima and F-14 have the same module).

Before disassembling the twist, we can check the integrity of the loops and the reliability of the contact in the stem/grip pair.
To do this, you must first disable USART port#2 for the grip and base. We do it according to the picture. You will have an F-14 instead of an MCG.

With the disassembled grip installed on the stem and the 3-pin connector disconnected, you need to start the configurator.
1.We close (you can use thin tweezers or a paper clip for this) the black and yellow pin - the red square in USART # 2 for the grip should go out.

2. Now you need to short-circuit the red and black pin - as a result, the Black Box should turn off with Windows sound.

I look forward to your results. If this does not work, then go to the next step to clarify the location of the non-working module.

Like said on the open ticket can't we just manage to send you back the stuff and let you do your magician stuff?

I know i will not be able now to use my stuff or try to fix it during this month anyway so at least if i can get it fixed for good by you when you will be able to do it. At least that is a progress because right now i just have a 400€ non working tomcat grip replica i would not have bought knowing all the trouble i would have with it :-/

OK understood.
Do a simple test without disassembling the grip or placing it on the base. This will allow us to understand that the base is not faulty.
Watch this video and do the same.
1. Two contact pads on the rod must be bridged, and at this moment the red square should go out in the configurator on USART # 2.
To do this, you can use a straightened paper clip, a piece of conductor, a simple flat screwdriver, tweezers.

2. If you close (briefly) the other two sites, then the BB will turn off (go to defense) with a characteristic Windows sound.

No reaction if I bridge the first two connectors (still red blinking light) but if I do on the two other connectors no more light on the blackbox and windows sound

The video contained everything that I wrote about disabling USART # 2 for the configurator knob, as in this screenshot.

So, after the done test # 1, the square does not go out when the lower and upper right contacts are closed? Try to close a few more times to be 100% sure.
And test # 2 turned out - the controller turns off and disappears in the configurator.
If so, the problem is in the board with the cable in the stock. And the F14 grip is fine.
To replace it, you do not need special tools and you can do it yourself. And you don't need to send anything anywhere.

So, i don't know why but if you look the previous screenshot i don't have the uart part displayed on the page you show.

After step 3 (press set) I don't have the red blinking light anymore.

I tried to mount again the grip and test but without any result and just X and Y axis on the grip working and no buttons working...

Please just get the stuff back and have a look at it

Sorry, I didn't see right away that you don't have a line in the zconfig.ini file in the [User] User=Developer section.
Which gives additional customization options. After adding it, you will be able to make settings as in the previous screenshots. And conduct this test.
Catch, we are extremely interested in fixing the problems that have arisen as soon as possible.
But without simple preliminary tests, it is difficult to understand the cause of the errors.
