Guys i think i have the same issue....
i saw what you asked him here, but i have no skills and tools to do that.
My kg12 arrived last week with the f14 grip. I also have mcg pro.
Both works well, the only one that does not work is the K12.
in this discussion i explain my issues...at the first i thought it was my issue messing with the NG firmware, but then i saw that also with the original one don't work.

So do you want me to open the grip?
There should be a printed version number on the boards?
If that can be usefult to you, i just received the grip last friday. So it is new, and my base is GFIII

This is version GL_v1_1. You can try to measure the voltage to the resistor R1. And also its nominal resistance with the grip turned off. If it's not hard for you. Thank.
