Gunfighter base to Thrustmaster Warthog adapter problem

Postby Toro113Loco » Sun Jun 08, 2025 16:37

Hello. I’m new to VKB and hope to find some help. I acquired an old Gunfighter KG12 with orange black box and purchased the Gunfighter MKII-MKII thrustmaster adapter to add my warthog grip to the base.

I installed VKB software apps and flashed firmware. In deviceconfig app the base is recognized as “nj32” but it’s unresponsive. In the tools tab it says “Communication Errorlevel” written just like that? What am I doing wrong??

I think in the bootloader it showed up as njoy32. But in devconfig the controller icon looks like an Xbox game controller and I remember seeing the name gunfighter vintage somewhere.

When I start configuration and go to the tools tab, the errorlevel page shows an image of the gunfighter base with a long red bars to the right of it, and another image with a hotas stick also with a long red bar to the right of it.

I did notice that when I remove the TMW stick from the base, the base axis works fine. I don’t get it??

Just a quick update, we have discussed this on Discord and it looks as if the Gunfighter base is Mk1, which is Rev.A, not compatible with the Mk2/Mk3 Warthog adapter's Rev.B connector.
