Gunfighter Roll Axis Problem

Postby itstheLIKWID » Fri Jun 06, 2025 18:00

Hi there everyone,

I bought a Gunfighter Mk 6 over a year ago second hand and have been using it for over a year now in DCS.

However recently I have started to have a problem with the roll axis glitching. I fly formation mostly in DCS so making small adjustments is important and this is how I started to notice this issue. I have attached a youtube video to show this problem. I tried to re-calibrate the joystick as well but sadly no luck. As you will see in the pitch axis there is no problem at all, however when making rolls to the left or the right the smooth physical stick movement does not translate into DCS.

Would anyone have any advice for this problem on how to solve it?

I thank you in advance.

The reaction in the game is already a consequence, and we are interested in the cause.
You should check the cleanliness of the X-axis magnet, its fastening. Perhaps the cable connecting the two boards introduces such distortions.

Use the VKB_JoyTester program to check, it is more visual. And show a photo of the mechanics with the bottom cover removed.

I followed the tutorials to remove the grip and inspect the inside of the mechanics and electronics.

I have given everything a good clean inside with an air duster and I also checked the wiring for anything that was loose. Pushed connectors etc. Re-assembled the stick and everything is currently working smoothly with no problems since doing this. I am hoping I will not have this problem again haha. Thank you very much for your help and assistance. I really appreciate it!
