Gladiator nxt evo prem SW 1 to axis?

Postby CaliforniaShuttle » Tue Feb 25, 2025 13:59

Hey all,

New owner here. I recently got the Nxt Evo and I have been trying to set it up for Msfs. I'm trying to make the self centering wheel (sw 1) an axis instead of 2 different buttons so I can use it for the rudder tiller but I haven't been able to do so. I have watched a couple of videos but sadly none of them cover exactly what I'm looking for, and I haven't find any forum that includes screenshots on the process. Could anyone please give me a detailed explanation on the steps to follow to do so?

Thank you!

This guide shows you how to program an encoder or 2 buttons as an axis; a different device is shown, but it's the same principle.

SW1 natively is an axis. Hidden) Just set input for axus 7 = Analogue (Physical Axes tab). Check En&Vs (Logical axes tab). Press Set, calibrate axes. Logical buttons 25&26 stay active on axis range limits.

I also recommend setting a DZLo, and maybe copying some of the physical settings like MPL and filter from axis 4 (mini-throttle). If you set a DzLo, be sure to also have ACn cecked and set before calibrating.
