Issues after upgrading firmware on Gladiator NXT with THQ

Postby kpharoah » Sun Nov 17, 2024 18:49

After upgrading firmware to 2.18.9 I am finding the X-Axis on the stick and the third slider on the THQ is not working. When going through calibration I can see the X-Axis, but its not responding. The third slider on the THQ is no where to be seen.
Have tried flashing a few times, but the result is the same.
Any help is appreciated on next steps.

Where would I find the download for previous versions?
The download section only has the latest version.

I also think I may have gotten those two axis confused in my initial description.
The third slider shows up as X-Axis on the second virtual device and is unresponsive, its the X-Axis on the first virtual device thats missing.

It seems there's a bug with the latest firmware for this combo. To fix it run VKBDevCfg, navigate to Profile/Axes/Logical Axes and change the following on the HID Usage row: for axis #1 - instead of Elev set X, for axis 5 - instead of Steering set RotX, for axis #9 - instead of Elev set X. Then, on the Physical Axes panel change the settings on the Input row for axes 9-12 from N/A to virtual. When done click the Set button under the Action tab and recalibrate the whole thing.

You are definitely right, definitely a bug.

On the physical Axes section, changing the #9 from N/A to Virtual got the 3rd slider working.

For HID Usage under Logical Axes, Axis#5 was already RotX and Axis#9 was already X.
Axis#1 doesnt have the option for X, options start at Elevator.Trim

I was able to get this resolved by rolling by to a previous version provided in a support ticket.
After flashing with v2.18.4, everything worked as it should have.

Same here. Got a brand new Gladiator and THQ today and have the same issue. I also cannot get the hint from fallout9 working. Is there any chance to get a link to firmware v2.18.4 so I can downgrade?

I'll upload the firmware here, just unzip it and treat it as shown in this flashing and calibration guide.
We apologize for the issue.
