Post a picture from the side, so the whole screw is visible.

The most important thing is completely out of focus :))
Don't tighten the nut until the spring washer is completely compressed, just enough so it extends just a bit and keep a certain amount of pressure.

Here is a picture with the nut in focus.

The issue is not the tightness of the nut. Since your first post I have have tightened and loosened that nut and tried everything in between 20 different times. The problem does not resolve. And besides, if the issue was simply the tightness of the nut, why do I have no problems at all with the other cam/bearing?

Let's do one more test please: download this tester https://vkbcontrollers.com/wp-content/u ... Tester.zip, turn it on, put the base on a stable surface, pull the head of the joystick with a finger all the way to the right and release, then do the same from left, forwards, backward and corners.
Should look something like this:

Here are the screenshots of the test. One is the left/right/up/down. One is the 4 corners. I did it with my 10cm extension attached and on my monstertech mount which is very firm. I can do it on the baseplate on the table if necessary.

Ok I think I may have figured something out. I took off the extension and reattached it and I noticed the problem is much less when I do up the grip fasteners excessively tightly. Also, at some point during all this reattachment the problem transferred from the horizontal axis to the vertical axis but only when I move the stick to the left. When I move it to the left side and then move forwards and backwards it kind of pings when I go over center.

It also feels very similar to the feeling when I just put the stick on there and move it around with no grip fasteners although much less.

I'm not sure how to fix it though. Currently playing around with fastening and unfastening it.

The X axis seems a bit slower, are the dampers released all the way? Can you check?

I checked, the dampeners are released all the way.

Fill up a service ticket then. They'll instruct you how to check the dampers and test the bearing.

Would you mind telling me what the problem was? I have the exact same issue, a slight grinding sensation to the right. Y and left X are perfectly smooth.

Already disassembled everything but could not find the issue.

For the record, I'm using space-s with 20s Springs. Everything looks like it's running smooth inside without touching anything or beeing overtightened.

Light_has_come wrote:Hi there,

I changed the springs in my gunfighter mk III for the first time today and it was easy and straightforward. However, when I put it back together again there was a grinding sensation when I moved the stick. I opened it up to see if I had done anything wrong and I hadn't. The grinding sensation was coming from the actual bearings themselves. After I disconnected the springs I spun the bearings with my fingers I could still feel the grinding with my fingers. I have used my gunfighter for less than 5 hours at this point.

Please help.

I had the exact same issue, but then I've solved it with this: viewtopic.php?p=63621#p63621

Hope it helps.
