regreasing the Gunfighter MK2 dry clutch

I'm trying to follow the VKB video about regreasing the Gunfighter dry clutch. In the video , the MK3 is shown & the nylon pads are easily lifted off of the barrel to be cleaned & greased. On my Mk2 2 though, it seems impossible to get these nylon pads off. They are stuck below a rim on the barrel & also can't be pulled away from the barrel because a screw post is in the way. Is there no way to do this? I would like to put on the new nylon pads I ordered, but I don't know how to get the old ones off & the new ones on.
