I have a Gunfighter MCG Ultimate Ultimate XT2 version purchased in 2021. Firmware V2.176
Recently I am experiencing glitches and lags while flying. Using the VKB tools provided, I note one quadrant of joystick motion (where X and Y values are above 32000 (SE quadrant if N is forward)) shows 100% communication error in VKBDevCfg-C (for both grip and base)
The trace in VKB_JoyTester shows a flatline until the joystick is moved back into another quadrant. Only SE quadrant has problems. Other quadrants are normal.
Is this problem?
- mechanical
-electrical A to D problem.
Where to start diagnosis? Any suggestions will be appreciated. Attachments show flatline trace and communication error.

Re: Joystick communication error
Select the device in VBKBDevCfg, click the Default button under the Tools tab, click Yes to the following popup asking to configure, then calibrate.
Post a new screenshot of the same panel as above afterwards please.

Re: Joystick communication error
Update
Turned out to be mechanical problem.
Removed grip and looked at contacts. Two contacts showed scratches/indents from firm pin connection. The third contact on the WNW side of the joystick extension did not. Movement to the SE quadrant would decrease the already lower pressure on this contact and hence communication errors. Cleaning contacts and firmly reseating the grip on the extension and the extension on the base seems to have eliminated the communication errors.
Happy customer again!!
