First post here so go easy on me. I just found my Gunfighter MkIII to be connecting and disconnecting and the red light flashing away and discovered it to be the cable is damaged where it goes into the stick base end connector. Sadly in removing the cable the whole thing came out and appears all the wires broke at the solder joint for the connector. I could repair this but with all wires broken off I can't tell which wire went to which pin.
I cleaned the connector of the old joints and noted that the pins are numbered on the connector 1-4 and so I used a multimeter to identify the wire colours for the undamaged base end connector:
1 - black
2 - shield
3 - red
4 - yellow
My first thought is, is this a 1:1 mapping of wires to the other connector eg:
Base : Stick Base
1 : 4
2 : 3
3 : 2
4 : 1
But I don't want to assume so I wanted to see if anyone here knows the correct order of the wires on the stick base end of the cable.
One thought I just had is the cable can go on either way, so I assume that the above order is correct?
That would mean:
1 - yellow
2 - red
3 - shield
4 - black
Can anyone confirm this so I can get on with soldering it and flying again please?
TIA

Andy
