SEM issue

Postby Jordin » Tue May 14, 2024 9:52

Having a problem with an SEM unit with its own microcontroller.

When I set a new config in the software, it turns off but usually won’t turn back on again. Have to replug the usbc cable multiple times (last time to 18 tries!) to get it to power on again. Same result with different cable or on a different pc.

Is the microcontroller dying? It’s about 2 years old

Maybe the cable is bad, do you have another cable to try?
Also try swapping USB ports too.

Thanks, tried different cable, port and even pc. Same behaviour. Removed and reseated the controller a couple of times as well with no improvement.

Advice from discord suggested rolling back firmware to less than 2.10. I’ve used 2.088 which seems to have fixed it

Here. Just keep in mind that you'll have to match the firmware with the version of VKBDevCfg you're running (the firmware compatibility is indicated in VKBDevCfg's top bar).
