double rate function

Trying to set up a double rate function as shown on page 83 of the manual.

close the button down open it back up and the alternate action button displays

when I do this the axis shows reduced output on the tester... but it's all the time, the button has no effect, what am I doing wrong?

SW 0.92.76, FW 2.13e - works.

No change, latest firmware, defaulted, calibrated, re-assigned the button... no change

I dont' see anything different if I have the if the alternate action box checked it will apply the setting, if it is unchecked, it won't change anything, the button does nothing pressed or un pressed with the box checked or unchecked

I knew it was something stupid, I had the wrong button, I watched the curves video again and saw the bit about using the poll check box to identify the button... Thanks for your patience Victor.
